Please RSVP by May 31, 2025 so we can have an accurate headcount as we plan for the weekend's festivities.
We recommend booking them as soon as possible, August is peak season in Bodrum so it's best to book early!
The nearest airport to our wedding destination is Bodrum-Milas Airport which is about 50 km (32 miles) from Yalikavak. This airport is primarily for domestic flights in Turkey, so anyone flying internationally will likely need to stop in Istanbul. For transportation to your hotel from Bodrum-Milas Airport, you can book a shuttle or private transfer in advance. The hotels we recommended also offer support in booking transportation to and from Bodrum-Milas.
We’ll arrange shuttles from key hotels to the venue. More details will be shared closer to the date.
The dress code is for the wedding is Beach Formal – lightweight suits, elegant yet breathable dresses, and comfy shoes are recommended.
Our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour & reception will be outdoors, but our after party will be indoors.
During August, Bodrum experiences warm temperatures both day and night. The average daily high ranges from 30°C (86°F) to 35°C (95°F), with occasional peaks above this range. Nighttime temperatures remain mild, typically averaging around 25°C (77°F).
As of January 2024, U.S. citizens can visit Turkey visa-free for stays of up to 90 days within a 180-day period. For European travelers, visa requirements vary: citizens from most Schengen Area countries can enter Turkey visa-free for stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period. However, travelers from non-Schengen European countries should verify specific entry requirements, as some may need to obtain an e-Visa or a visa prior to arrival. Please ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your intended date of entry into Turkey.
While we plan to provide transportation to the key wedding events from the suggested hotels, getting a Taxi can be tricky especially at night. So, if you plan to stay longer and aren't comfortable with public transportation, we'd recommend considering renting a car.
The local currency is the Turkish Lira (TRY). Credit cards are widely accepted, but carry some cash for small shops and markets. We recommend taking out money as close to your travel date as possible and taking out minimal cash, as inflation is high in Turkey. For those traveling from abroad, Turkey uses a Type F Power Adapter. This is different than most other European countries. If you need any help or advice after arriving in Turkey, please feel free to reach out! We will be arriving in town over a week early and will be available to answer questions.
