It all started June 24th, 2024 when we were both hired at Westover Hills Baptist Hospital. Even though we worked in separate departments, our paths crossed pretty frequently. The more we talked, we built a unique friendship, one that would lead us to a lifetime of love and happiness. We started to find ways and reasons to see each other at work, even for the smallest reasons. One year later, we had our first date and we pretty much knew what we both wanted and what God had in store for us. We both truly believe we were meant to work at the hospital together to find each other and we couldn't be happier.

December 21, 2025 is a day I will never forget for 2 reasons, Celina’s birthday, and the day I finally built up the courage to ask her to marry me. I was such a nervous wreck. I figured since it was her birthday, I could plan something nice and she wouldn’t expect a thing. We decided to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. All I could think about at dinner was how to make it the best proposal for her and not to be obvious about it. Celina knows when i’m nervous, so barely eating and shaking my leg was a dead giveaway I had something on my mind. I tried to play it off and act like I was completely fine and I “thought” I did a good job of it. After dinner, Celina and I, along with my brother Kory and friends, loaded back in the car and set off for the highlight of the night. The entire ride down, I could feel my heart racing and my palms becoming sweaty. It’s all I could think about, proposing to my best friend. When we arrived, Kory, Mike, and I went to the restroom to make a plan on how and exactly where and when to do it. I decided it’d be best to walk around for a little bit to find the perfect spot and to also get my thoughts in order. We decided on a hand signal to indicate I found the spot and was about to do it so they could get their phones ready for a video and pictures. At last, I found the perfect spot. This is when I became really nervous. There was a big beautiful wreath that was lit up with amazing lights and I just knew that was the spot. I gave the guys the signal and very secretively, Kory placed the ring in my hand and I put it in my pocket. Kory suggested we sit down under the wreath and they would take pictures of us. As we sat down, I could barely breathe. I was about to ask the woman of my dreams to marry me. My heart was definitely pounding out of my chest at this point. As we smiled for the camera, and secret video, I pulled the ring out from my right pocket, clenched it firmly, and prayed to God that it would go as I hoped. As I turned my nervous red face towards Celina, the only words I could get out at the time was, “you know I love you right?”. I don’t remember what I said after but she saw me starting to move and asked me, “what are you doing?”. At this point, I knew she knew my next move. I got down on one very shaky knee, looked in her eyes with my teary eyes, and said, “Celina Natalie, will you marry me?”. Even though she said yes very fast, it felt like a lifetime. I had finally done it. The first and last time i would ever ask anyone to spend the rest of their life with me. As we hugged and kissed, I thanked God for the opportunity and the amazing woman he put before me. I will forever be grateful for Celina Natalie Ramirez, soon to be Celina Natalie Richter. I am one lucky man!!
