Semi-formal! There will be a paved path and grassy areas surrounding the pavilion, so we recommend comfortable shoes.
We are having our reception at the outdoor pavilion at the Lancaster Liederkranz, which is a private German club. There is a good amount of coverage in the event of rain, but there is also space to wander outside in the grass and by the creek that runs next to the pavilion. Because it is an outdoor pavilion, expect to use port-a-potties if needed.
There are a few reasons we chose to do them separately! First of all, Celia has only one week between finishing clinical placements and starting the fall semester, so this made the process less stressful by avoiding planning and hosting a full wedding in one day. A traditional wedding day is a loooong day! So by splitting it up we feel we will be more present at each event, and have more energy to dance and socialize with everyone celebrating with us at the reception. We also really love the idea of having a smaller, more intimate ceremony that allows us to make it more personal.
We plan to have a food truck with a few small plate options, and desserts too. There will be plenty to snack on, but not a formal sit-down type of meal!
The bartenders are already being tipped by the hosts of the party! No need to give additional tips.
Basically, we don't care...we just want you to have fun and dance like no one is watching!
