FAQs

If you have any other questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to our wedding planner, Tamzen, at (678) 925-6358 with your name and "Dickinson-Smith Wedding" in the body of your message for context.
Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

There are many AirBNB/VRBO/etc. in the area, but the hotel recommended by the Planner/Venue is the DoubleTree by Hilton in Roswell. They run a free shuttle to and from the venue. 1075 Holcomb Bridge Rd Roswell, GA 30076

Question

Have you reserved hotel room blocks?

Answer

Yes! We have a block at the Hilton Doubletree in Roswell. Ask about the Dickinson-Smith wedding.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel?

Answer

Yes! If you stay at the Hilton Doubletree there will be a complimentary shuttle back and forth. If you would like to take advantage of the shuttle head to the front desk about 15-20 minutes before you need to leave to allow time for the shuttle to return if it's out and about.

Question

What is parking like?

Answer

If you plan on drinking, we definitely recommend Uber or Lyft, however if you plan on driving, there is plenty of parking at the venue, with a designated drop off area for people of different abilities. Also, the recommended hotel (Hilton Doubletree) will run a shuttle to and from the venue.

Question

Are the Ceremony and Reception going to be at the same place?

Answer

Yes! Both will be at the same venue and everything will be outside.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will be at 5:30. We recommend arriving minimum 10 minutes before, but with Atlanta area traffic it would be better to plan on 20 minutes prior.

Question

Do I have to mail back my RSVP or can I RSVP online?

Answer

You do not have to mail it back, but you can. We have an online response tracker too, which is easy to use.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by May 1st at the latest.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding and reception will be outdoors at the end of May, so we want you all to be comfortable, while still being your best dressed self! Cocktail attire, Semi-formal, Dressy Casual, or Beach Formal. Examples: long summer dress, cocktail dress, jumpsuit, dress pants w/button down, summer suit, linen suit.

Question

Are there any colors you would prefer me not to wear?

Answer

The bridal party will be in white (of course), olive green and true gray, so we would prefer if you avoid those colors if at all possible.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Hot! Wear sunscreen and light fabrics that breathe, and don't forget to drink your water!

Question

Are there any local places you'd recommend I visit while I'm in town?

Answer

There are so many! Please see our Things to Do tab with some recommendations.

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around 45 minutes. Guests can enjoy a cocktail hour during this time before preparing for dinner and finding their tables.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. If you've already RSVP'd "yes," you can change it, but please shoot the bride a text*. *Unless it's the day of the wedding, then what are you doing!? She's got enough to worry about! Text the Maid of Honor instead.

Question

Can I bring a date? or my kids?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget and work with COVID-19 restrictions. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Question

What are you doing about COVID?

Answer

Please use your own best judgement when RSVPing. This will be a mask-optional event, but we will follow the CDC, State, and city guidelines. Barring inclement weather, the majority of the event will be outside with the food stations inside out of the heat. Also, the majority of the bridal party and families will be vaccinated and the Bride and Groom recommend that everyone that can get vaccinated does. Stay safe. Wash your hands. We would love for you to be there, but please if you are feeling sick stay home. Update your RSVP via the website and leave a note for us.
