it's happening we are getting married!

Kendrick and I met in Carbondale, Illinois as freshmen attending SIU in the AFROTC program in 2014. We went our separate ways shortly after and as fate would have it, we reconnected in 2018. One night, a realization hit me that Kendrick and I would make a wonderful couple. Thus, our fateful journey was born! I took the leap of faith and shared my feelings. After a couple long months, Kendrick gave fate a chance on November 23rd, 2018. We took our first vacation together in early 2019 where we both fell in love with each other as well as the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Since, our family has grown with 3 beautiful cats and have been on numerous adventures. In October 2021, we traveled to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, TN and enjoyed the beautiful Smoky Mountains. Kendrick conquered his fear of heights and took us to Skylift Bridge. The bridge is suspended between mountains and had the beautiful city lights of Gatlinburg below us. On October 16, 2021, Kendrick proposed halfway on Skylift Bridge and of course, I said YES! We will say "I do" to the next chapter of our journey on October 22, 2022.
