Crested Butte
Often referred to as "Colorado's Last Great Ski Town", Crested Butte is a charming old mining town with many shops, restaurants, and bars centered around the main street - Elk Avenue. Our personal favorite places are Camp 4 Coffee, Niky's Mini Donuts, Teocalli Tamale and Bonez.
Crested Butte Mountain Resort
One of our go-to activities is to hike to the top of Mt. Crested Butte in the summer. You can either hike from the base all the way to the top (about 7 miles each way), or take the chair lift and hike from there (about 2 miles round trip). This hike can be strenuous and the weather often changes quickly so bring a lot of water and a rain jacket!

This gorgeous golf course is located right at the base of Mt. Crested Butte.
Three Rivers Resort & Outfitting
This is our favorite place for river rafting!
Harmel's Ranch Resort
This ranch resort in Almont is where Celeste and her sister had many summer camp outings - they offer lodging, horseback riding, fly fishing, rafting and rock climbing.
Dos Rios Golf Club Inc
This golf course in Gunnison is located along the Gunnison River and at the base of Hartman Rocks Recreation Area.
Lake Irwin
Located at the base of the Lake Irwin campground and some awesome hiking trails, this is our favorite place to paddle board and swim in the summers.
Hartman Rocks
Located in Gunnison, this recreational area has 8000 acres of open space and 40 miles of single track trail that is popular for mountain bikers, motorbiking and rock climbing.
