Please RSVP by Monday, April 6, so that we can plan accordingly.
We are not. We have plenty of plates, towels, and kitchen gadgets—largely because the bride is constantly buying them and does not need any encouragement. What we really want is to celebrate together, laugh a lot, and hear many compliments about the bride’s dress. If you feel strongly about giving a gift anyway, we’ve set up a cash fund for a honeymoon that currently exists only as a vague idea. Contributions of any size are appreciated but truly, not required.
There is no formal dress code. The wedding is outdoors with grass and gravel, so plan footwear accordingly. Beyond that: wear what you love, and have some fun with it! Let's see some bolo ties, pillbox hats, rhinestoned boots, codpieces (metaphorical or otherwise), and at least one item that requires confidence to explain. This is your chance to wear the thing you’ve been saving “for something.” This is that something. Don’t worry about upstaging the bride—she knows what she’s doing.
Yep! Bring 'em! Let us know who is in your party with your RSVP.
You have options! We recommend The Lismore Hotel (a DoubleTree) in Eau Claire, where we have a block of rooms reserved (use our discount code “GCW" for $169/night). It’s about an hour from the wedding venue. If you’d prefer to stay closer, please check the Travel page for additional hotel recommendations. You’re also more than welcome to camp at the farm! Feel free to bring a tent (or borrow one—just let us know), or roll in with an RV—we do have hookups available.
Transportation will be provided on Saturday to and from the ceremony and celebration at the farm in Blair, with shuttles running between The Lismore Hotel and the venue. Shuttles will be available throughout the evening to bring guests back to the hotel in Eau Claire. Please note: Transportation will not be provided for the Friday night Welcome Dinner.
