FAQs

The wedding takes place at Natalie’s childhood home, a family-owned farm in Trempealeau County. It’s a peaceful, rural spot that feels wonderfully far from everything (because it mostly is). Blair is a small town with the basics—this is not oat-milk-latte country—and that’s part of the charm. The farm has space for camping and RVs, plus trails, hidden ponds, wildlife, and a game room. We’ll host some guests on site (mainly family and the wedding party), and may have a few spare beds for others who want to stay on the farm (this may mean an air mattress). For guests who prefer privacy and creature comforts, we recommend The Lismore Hotel in downtown Eau Claire. We’ll be staying there Saturday night and will provide shuttle transportation to and from the wedding. Eau Claire is a charming, walkable city with lots to explore. If you have any questions other than what we've listed here, please text Natalie at 816.882.0447 or Zach at 816.262.5109.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Monday, April 6, so that we can plan accordingly.

Question

Are you registered?

Answer

We are not. We have plenty of plates, towels, and kitchen gadgets—largely because the bride is constantly buying them and does not need any encouragement. What we really want is to celebrate together, laugh a lot, and hear many compliments about the bride’s dress. If you feel strongly about giving a gift anyway, we’ve set up a cash fund for a honeymoon that currently exists only as a vague idea. Contributions of any size are appreciated but truly, not required.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no formal dress code. The wedding is outdoors with grass and gravel, so plan footwear accordingly. Beyond that: wear what you love, and have some fun with it! Let's see some bolo ties, pillbox hats, rhinestoned boots, codpieces (metaphorical or otherwise), and at least one item that requires confidence to explain. This is your chance to wear the thing you’ve been saving “for something.” This is that something. Don’t worry about upstaging the bride—she knows what she’s doing.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yep! Bring 'em! Let us know who is in your party with your RSVP.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

You have options! We recommend The Lismore Hotel (a DoubleTree) in Eau Claire, where we have a block of rooms reserved (use our discount code “GCW" for $169/night). It’s about an hour from the wedding venue. If you’d prefer to stay closer, please check the Travel page for additional hotel recommendations. You’re also more than welcome to camp at the farm! Feel free to bring a tent (or borrow one—just let us know), or roll in with an RV—we do have hookups available.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Transportation will be provided on Saturday to and from the ceremony and celebration at the farm in Blair, with shuttles running between The Lismore Hotel and the venue. Shuttles will be available throughout the evening to bring guests back to the hotel in Eau Claire. Please note: Transportation will not be provided for the Friday night Welcome Dinner.
