FAQs

If you have any other questions that are not listed, or need to give us certain information as discussed below, please contact us via email at jessica.malhotra1223@gmail.com.
Question

Do I need to wear a mask?

Answer

We politely ask that if you are unvaccinated against COVID-19 that you wear a mask as much as possible both indoors and outdoors when you aren't eating or taking photos. This is simply for the safety of all of our guests. We appreciate your understanding.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code for both days is Festive Formal, meaning dress up as you please and try to be bright and colorful! If you have any fun outfits you've been waiting for a special occasion to wear them to, this is it!

Question

May I wear Indian clothes?

Answer

YES! This is highly encouraged for both days if you are interested in doing so (although absolutely not required!). Here are two sites that go over the different types of attire for more feminine wear and more masculine wear. Please ignore labels such as menswear or womenswear, you can absolutely wear whatever you are most comfortable in. Feminine Attire: https://shilpaahuja.com/11-types-of-indian-wear/ Masculine Attire: https://fashionsuggest.in/mens-ethnic-wear-guide/

Question

Where can I purchase Indian clothes?

Answer

Amazon and Etsy have a wide variety of attire to choose from, please use the above references to help guide your search. Other websites include: https://www.indianweddingsaree.com/ https://vasaas.com/ Be mindful of shipping/delivery times when purchasing from these sites, which can take several weeks.

Question

Is there anything I SHOULDN'T wear?

Answer

We respectfully ask you to refrain from wearing all red, all white, or all black as these colors will be reserved for the bride and groom. It is perfectly fine to have these colors decorating your outfit but shouldn't be the main part of your attire. We also ask that you do not buy turbans if you do not commonly wear them. Any other accessories are perfectly fine.

Question

I have allergies to different foods/products. How can I ensure my safety at this event?

Answer

Please notify us of any allergies/sensitivities to foods or other products, along with the severity of these allergies such as "the item can be served to other people, as long as I don't personally eat them I'm fine" or "being exposed to this item puts me into anaphylactic shock". We want to ensure the safety of every guest. Please notify us via email at jessica.malhotra1223@gmail.com.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

For both days we have an open bar TO A LIMIT. We believe the budget we've set for you to all enjoy yourselves is reasonable but we also have to be conscious of our own budgets so we greatly appreciate your understanding. While we don't think this limit will be an issue, if you plan on drinking heavily please consider brining cash with you as once the limit is reached, it will be an cash bar. (Also make sure you arrange safe transportation!) Friday is beer and wine for alcohol only (juice, water, soda will be available). Saturday will have a full bar.

For all the days along the way
