Rosario Islands
Take a mini trip to one of these islands if you have an extra night to see beautiful beaches, only a 45 min boat ride away from Cartagena! Mel and Chris are headed here on Saturday after the wedding if anyone would like to join! Visit the schedule tab for more info.
Castillo de San Felipe de Barajas
Iconic old fortress outside of old city walls, overlooking all of Cartagena. Gorgeous!

One of Mel's favorite spots in the city because there are lots of tropical colorful flowers! Get some for your hotel room to add some joy for the week :)

Delicious and Instagramable food & drinks with live music and a beautiful ambiance :) More pricey than other places in Cartagena but worth it for a night!

Best place for sunset cocktails and dinner! Make sure you arrive at least one hour before sunset because tables fill fast :)
Buena Vida Marisquería - Cartagena
Cute rooftop for food and cocktails! :) The restaurant is very picturesque too! Known for their seafood.
Museo de la Esmeralda
Colombia is known for their gorgeous emeralds and the jewelry they make with the stone. This museum shows how they are mined and how they were discovered. The museum is free and leads into a jewelry store where you can buy jewelry if you wish!
El Totumo Volcano
Take a day trip easily to Volcan de Totumo! It's now inactive and full of mud where people go to get a mud massage :) Very touristy but cool day trip experience. Can go with group or solo. Before 9am is better if you want to avoid crowds, about 1 hr away.
La Serrezuela Mall
Giant modern mall in old town Cartagena! It was built on the oldest stadium in the city and they have light shows every night. Many cool stores and restaurants in this giant mall. Worth checking out!
