In the spring of 2023 Tommy and Claire, both living in Richmond, had connected on Hinge. ...Bet you haven't heard that one before ;) On the afternoon of Sunday, April 2nd, they met for the first time at LUNCH.SUPPER! over a couple of beers. Things couldn't have been busier for them both. Tommy had just hosted one of his many busy soccer weekends, with coaches from all over staying at his house. A kegger and some late-night Mary Angela's eggplant parm pizza were definitely involved. Meanwhile, Claire was busy planning to jet-set to Buenos Aires for a week with her best friend. Claire's approach to dating at the time was direct and to the point; she spent the date openly stating who she was and what she was looking for, emphasizing how happily independent she was. Tommy liked her spirited honesty and was clearly up for the challenge. Several weeks passed, involving two different hemispheres, spring training, WhatsApp messages, a stolen passport and a visit to a U.S. embassy, and not one but two boxes of Crumbl cookies. Needless to say, Woodbridge's Tommy Boy (a nod to one of Claire's favorite movies) captured the Vero Beach babe's attention and heart. And vice versa. The rest, along with Beau, Simpson, and Zelda, is history.
