Colin and I met when Colin decided to rush Theta Chi Fraternity at SFA in the fall of 2013. As if there weren’t already enough C names already (Cameron, Colby, Cody, Connor) in our close group of friends, Colin was soon welcomed into our weekly Wednesday night “bro nights” and has remained a close friend ever since.

The first time I met Colin, I felt bad because I wasn’t in the best mood (OU just lost). He didn’t seem to care though, he remained himself the whole time & actually seemed somewhat concerned for how invested I was in this football game. After they left, I told my wife that I'd met Cecily’s boyfriend and how awesome he seemed. Each time we hung out, I noticed Colin & I had a lot of the same interests, & how well he treated Cecily; not to mention I was impressed that he could drive a stick shift. I was stoked when Colin asked me to be a groomsman, I jumped up and down like a teenage girl who just got told she made the cheerleading squad. Even though I’ve only known Colin for a short amount of time, he’s easily one of the best dudes I know, & I’m happy to call him one of my buddies.

I would describe my friendship to both Colin and Cecily as just parental enough to keep me in line but still not parental enough to encourage my general shenanigans. Colin always tells me things the way I need to hear them rather than the way I’d sometimes prefer, and Cecily seems to want me to do whatever makes me happy usually. 😂
