It started in a linguistics class. Cecilia decided Isaac was going to be her friend. Isaac didn’t exactly plan for that, but, as it turned out, he didn’t have much say in the matter. A class project about bees gave them a reason to spend time together, though very little of that time was actually spent on bees. Instead, they talked, constantly, and often for hours on a bench just outside their classroom. They met at a time when both of them needed something good—and, without really meaning to, they became that for each other. And those days on that bench, that's where the story really began.
