Things To Do

Rome gets extremely busy this time of year, so we recommend booking tickets or guided tours in advance for some of the popular spots below. Neighborhood tips: Trastevere is the go-to spot for incredible food and a more local vibe. It’s full of character, charming alleys, and some of the best pasta and aperitivo spots in the city. Around major attractions (like near the Vatican or Trevi), the food tends to be more touristy—still some great options, but prices are higher and quality can be hit or miss. If you’ve got time, walk a few blocks away from the big sites to find more authentic spots. Rome’s skyline at sunset is unbeatable. There are no shortage of rooftop bars in Rome and many hotels offer rooftop bar access even if you’re not staying there so we highly recommend checking those out! (MUST SEE ATTRACTIONS LISTED BELOW)
