After an unconventional meeting, Joey and Cece quickly found comfort in each other. They met in the early summer of 2015, just a week before Cece's 29th birthday. Before heading over to Chico Hot Springs to celebrate the wedding of his brother, Charlie, to wife Mattie, Joey met Cece for a quick hello at one of their favorite downtown Bozeman establishments, the Bacchus. As Joey rounded the corner all Cece could see was a giant pink balloon and an even larger bouquet of flowers. At that moment, she knew she had something special. Two years later, almost to the day, Joey and Cece were at Marchi Angus Ranch for the spring bull sale. After a day of BBQ, family, and lounging in the grass with the dogs, Joey insisted Cece help him get some drinks refilled for the family. Before heading back outside, Joey suggested they go to the back deck and take in the view of the Flathead River. Joey began to tell Cece just how special she was to him and as the tears began to flow, Joey dropped to his knee saying he needed to get something off of his chest, and something out of his boot, presenting Cece with a beautiful ring. She cried, he cried, then they celebrated the happy moment surrounded by family.
