What is the attire for the wedding and reception?

Answer

Dress for the wedding is semi-formal attire: dresses, or dressy skirts and pants for women; blazers or dress shirts and slacks for men. Keep in mind that the wedding is on Lake Superior which is typically much cooler. Anticipate it being chilly in the evenings. Pack jackets and a raincoat for the weekend just in case.

Are kids welcome?

Due to size constraints of the venue our ceremony and reception will be adults only. We hope that you will enjoy a night out with us kid free! If you would like help finding child care please let us know.

Is there a block of rooms reserved at the lodge?

Answer

We have rooms reserved in the main lodge (Johnson/Jensen party). The other lodging at the resort is first come first serve. Please make your reservations early to ensure that you can stay with us at Grand Superior Lodge!

When can we make reservations at the lodge?

Answer

Rooms and cabins can be reserved at any time. Be sure to mention you are part of our wedding group. 1-800-627-9565 Johnson/Jensen party

Are there any nearby hotels that do not require a two night minimum?

Answer

The AmericInn or CountryInn in Two Harbors do not require a two night minimum.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

The sooner the better! We would appreciate if all RSVPs are in by June 15th, 2022. You can RSVP on this website.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Because there is lodging on site we will not be providing additional transportation. If you are not staying at Grand Superior Lodge please plan to have a designated driver.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will start at 4:00pm so 10-15 minutes prior would be a perfect time to arrive.

Question

What precautions are you taking regarding COVID?

Answer

We ask that all guests are either vaccinated or have a negative rapid test 48 hours before our wedding. We encourage you to wear a mask if you would be more comfortable with one.
