Fun shopping area with plenty of interesting shops and restaurants within. A few of the unique shops include Knobs n' Knockers (specialize in door knobs & knockers amongst other hardware) & Fehrenbach Black Forest Clocks (specialize in cuckoo clocks!). A few other shops Dan & Caroline enjoy at Peddlers' Village are Cookery Ware Shop, Extra Virgin, Savory Spice Shop, Sticky Situations for honey, Tails of the Village, and last but not least Nina's Waffles for a fresh waffle.
The D&R Canal Trail is a 70 mile path that happens to go through New Hope on the PA side and Lambertville on the NJ side and continues through Lumberville where the Black Bass is located. From New Hope to Lumberville, it would be a swift 6.4 mile walk! The address included in this recommendation is to Cavallo Park in Lamberville where there is a nice access point to the NJ side of the trail. If you walk South from this access point, about 1 mile in at the first bench you see is where Dan proposed to Caroline, with Appa's help of course. :)
Triumph is Dan & Caroline's favorite restaurant for grabbing a quick bite to eat. No reservation required. They offer seating at the bar, outside, or in the dining areas. Great beer and food. Definitely recommend the pretzels and the Bengal Gold and Pumpkin Ale.
Caroline & Dan frequented this cafe when they lived in Lambertville. Caroline's go-to is the Figgy Grilled Cheese and Dan's the Chorizo Egg Sandwich. The cafe itself does not have a lot of seating options so Caroline & Dan recommend this more as a take-out option.
Solebury is a local orchard with many varieties of apples that you may pick your own. If you are interested you will have to make a reservation on their website. Otherwise, their marketplace is worth the trip alone to get their applesauce and apple butter. Absolutely delicious!
