Boy meets girl and falls madly in love. Okay, maybe it didn't happen exactly like that but close enough. Alright, alright here is the real story. It was a warm Saturday night in June. I (Courtney) was enjoying a girl’s night out with two of my best friends. Colin was enjoying the same with his brother and longtime friend. Everything was going well on both ends until our paths crossed at the ever-romantic setting of Fat Jacks Bar. My side of the story remains that I was minding my own business and Colin just couldn't take his eyes off me. Colin's side of the story is I caught his eye while in the middle of a disagreement with another girl. No matter the real story we ended the night by exchanging numbers. Colin couldn't resist my irresistible charm. From the night we met and everyday moving forward we spent hours talking on the phone. We made plans to hangout, but since Colin was a single father it was difficult to make concrete arrangements. Weeks went by and when we finally settled on a day to have our first date it was quickly canceled due to him remembering he had a prior engagement going to his brother's housewarming. No worries he didn't leave me high and dry. He invited me to come to the housewarming, but I was not set on meeting the whole fam right away (My mistake. They are awesome!). His next free day was not until a Wednesday night when he would go and play in his dart league. I figured I liked him enough that I would tag along. That night we talked and laughed for hours. We decided then we wanted to continue to get to know one another and see where it would go. For months, Colin and I would spend time together after Rylan was tucked tightly in bed and sound asleep. Finally, when we both decided we wanted to take things to the next level we made things "official". We took the big jump with me meeting Rylan and that is how we have arrived where we are today.
