We kindly ask that you refer to the names listed on your invitation, as that is who we have accounted for in our planning! If you are unsure, feel free to reach out to Brian or Emily.
Welcome drinks Friday night is cocktail attire. We suggest cocktail dresses, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and jackets and slacks. Attire for the ceremony and reception on Saturday is summer formal. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.
No. The wedding ceremony and reception will both be held at the Edgewater. If you're interested in exploring downtown Madison, the Square is less than a half mile down the road. If you are flying in/out of MSN, the Edgewater offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. If you would like to utilize the shuttle, call (608) 535-8200 upon arrival, and the hotel operator will advise on the status of their car service and provide instructions on where to meet the vehicle.
Any guests staying at a hotel in the downtown area, including our wedding blocks at the AC Hotel by Marriott and the Madison Concourse Hotel, will be within half-mile walk of the Edgewater. For anyone staying farther away, there is plenty of access to Ubers/Lyfts that can get you to the venue.
Downtown Madison has plenty of great bars and restaurants worth checking out. Some of our favorites include Sardine, Tornado Room, Cooper's Tavern, the Boathouse, Tempest Oyster Bar, and Eno Vino. Check out our "Things To Do" tab for more details.
The best fried cheese curds downtown are found at Tipsy Cow, although Cooper's Tavern and the Boathouse whip up a mean order of curds as well. If you're looking for raw curds (or any cheese for that matter), then Fromagination on the Square is the spot for you.
