We met through work and still work together! Kyle started at 3D-Identity in January of 2018 and Jamie joined the team in September of that same year. They each held a secret crush for a few months but when the winter holiday season rolled around things changed. After a Christmas cookie decorating party they shared a late night pizza at Lucky Pie where a cheesy slice turned into a 3 hour dinner full of conversation. About a week later, Kyle asked Jamie on a more official date to the Contemporary Art Museum to check out an exhibition that Jamie had been dying to see. Their next date on New Years Eve was sealed with a kiss and, as they say, the rest is history.

One of their first big adventures together was traveling to Belgium before Christmas of 2019. Belgium during the Christmas season had been on Jamie's travel list for a little while and she was determined to go, so when Kyle became an important part of her life, of course he was invited to join. Kyle however, didn't even have a passport and with Christmas being his absolute favorite time of year, he was hesitant to join. Maybe Kyle's love for Jamie is a little greater than his love for Christmas - he decided to go! With passports in hand, they made their way to a Belgian winter wonderland filled with twinkle lights, Christmas music, and decadent chocolate and waffles. This trip made it clear that they were meant for each other.

Kyle proposed at the Ute Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park on the weekend of Jamie's 25th birthday. Jamie was under the impression that they were going for a birthday weekend away in Estes park, little did she know what was to come. Back in January 2020, Kyle began his ring shopping endeavor, landing on a winner in March with plans to propose that summer. However, due to covid, he had to keep it hidden a little longer than expected. Once things felt a little safer, the scheming began! Once in Estes Park, Kyle led Jamie to believe that he had planned a drive through the national park followed by a birthday dinner reservation. They made their way into the park and up towards Trail Ridge Road. Along the way, they took in the stunning views of the park and drove through varying wind and weather. As they approached the Ute Trailhead, Kyle suggested they get out to go take a look around. While neither were dressed for any sort of "hike," out they went into the wind. As they got to the overlook, Kyle began to share some thoughts he had prepared. Soon the premise of their adventure became clear to Jamie as he got down on one knee. "YES!" and an embrace and another surprise followed: their CO families were down in town to join in on the celebrations. As they drove back to town, Kyle shared the secrets from the last 6 months. Buying the ring, asking her mother and father for their blessing, hiring a photographer, and planning galore. An unforgettable weekend.
