Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Amy Scheuer

Maid of Honor

Amy and Megan have been friends since the fourth grade. They’ve transitioned through nearly every stage of life together, with their interests evolving from the best roller coasters at Six Flags to the best of Chicago’s bar scene. After college, the two were roommates in an apartment above Shoe’s Pub on Armitage for three years – both recall the time as some of their fondest memories they have while living in the city. To this day, the two are known to text each other a constant stream of consciousness daily – no detail is too small for the other to be informed on. Amy is one of the most supportive, loyal, and dependable people Megan knows!

Kevin Reene

Best Man

Kevin is my older brother and first friend. Growing up in the Reene household meant no cable TV, a limited allocated of electronics time, and mandatory outdoors time. My literal first memory is playing outside with Kevin, riding my bicycle straight down our driveway and crashing into the cul de sac barrier. Kevin paved the way and set an example for me to follow in more ways than one. Summer Camp, schools, piano lessons, athletics, etc. Now a husband to a wonderful woman, father of two beautiful children, and leader within his world class engineering firm, I continue to look up to Kevin. I look forward to having him stand by my side on the day of my marriage.

Clare Houlihan

Maid of Honor

Clare and Megan have been friends since the fourth grade, and they were neighbors growing up! Megan and Clare have trekked through backyards to get to each other houses more times than they can count, and Megan would spend many mornings before school around the Houlihan breakfast table. Senior year of high school, Megan and Clare were nominated for the “Best Best Friends Superlative”. Even though they didn’t win, they made a valiant campaign effort to try to secure the honor (in their hearts and minds, they hold the title). One of Megan’s fondest memories is going up to the Houlihan’s lake house (aka the Wee Hoose) every summer since the fourth grade – thanks to the Houlihan’s endless generosity. Clare is genuine, funny as heck and loves to lift her friends up.

Alex Nunn

Best Man

Alex has been my best friend essentially since birth. From the cul de sacs of Cherry Creek to nights out on Dickson Street in Fayetteville Arkansas, he has been one of the most loyal, intelligent, witty, and caring friends I could ask for. Sports leagues, summer camps, private school, family trips, first date recaps - you name it, we've likely experienced it together. Its my honor to have him stand by my side as Co Best Man. My heart is full of gratitude and I look forward to our continued friendship and unique bond for the rest of our lives.

Olivia Bruns

Bridesmaid

Olivia and Megan met at Indiana University when they joined the same sorority freshman year. Before they knew anyone in their pledge class, they were “forced” to participate in IU Sing, a tradition where the freshman fraternity and sorority pledge classes pair up for a dance competition. This was not an area where either thrived and they found themselves next to each other in the far back corner of the dance line up – still they both were too horrified at the situation to really socialize. It wasn’t until they were placed as roommates their first year living in the sorority house sophomore year that their friendship really started to blossom. They would become inseparable for the next three years, having long dinners at their sorority house, going out to Roy’s whenever they could, embracing themed parties and questioning why college is only four years. Olivia is caring, fun, and has impeccable style.

Eric Mcdonald

Best Man

Eric became a lifelong best friend when I met him in the first few months at the University of Arkansas. We bonded over a shared 4 pack of Mike's Harder lemonade, watching (and analyzing) 'The Bachelor' after Chapter, and playing Super Smash Bros in the basement of one of our college slum lord's rental houses. Although we don't grind on the 32" Tube TV as much anymore, very little has actually changed - our continued friendship thrives on humor, scorching hot takes, fervent debate, and outrageous opinions on the future prospects of the Chiefs roster, among other things. I can't wait to have Eric stand by my side on the day of my wedding and every day of our shared lives forward.

Casey Angst

Bridesmaid

Casey and Megan were in the same sorority at Indiana University. Casey immediately stood out to Megan on bid night when they all had to go around and share a fun fact. Everyone shared run of the mill facts until Casey stood up and proudly shared her fun fact – she’s afraid of wood. The two got to know each other more that year since they lived in the same dorm. They would spend some evenings walking over to their sorority for dinners, chapter, and other events. Just like her fun fact indicated, Casey was quirky in the best way and Megan knew she had to have her as a friend. One of Megan’s favorite college memories is when some kind of themed party (now she can’t remember what it could have possibly been) allowed her to dress up as Casey and imitate her the whole night while Casey coached her like a stage mom from the sidelines – it was thrilling. Casey is considerate, smart and loyal as hell.

Josh Remington

Groomsman

Josh is my brother-in-law, married to my younger sister, Christiana. As anyone who has spoken words to Josh knows, he loves the Dallas Cowboys. On the day I met him - trying to sus out any funny business - I asked him point blank who the best Cowboy was. His answer (Tyron Smith), told me everything I needed to know and the rest is history. IYKYK. Josh is the quintessential "yes man". He is always down for a good time but prioritizes others enjoyment ahead of his own. I suppose someone who has rooted for the Cowboys for 30 years has to figure out how to enjoy other people's happiness eventually, right? Love you Josh and excited to have you stand by my side.

Corine Samaras

Bridesmaid

Corine and Megan have gone to school together since elementary school, but their friendship didn’t start to blossom until high school. The two have had a penchant for doing impressions that will make the other laugh and one of their favorite ways to stay in touch while in college was through the walkie talkie app, Voxer (TBD if it still exists or if they were the only two who downloaded it). This tradition is still going strong and just this week Megan sent Corine a voice memo, unprompted and without context. Some of Megan’s fondest memories with Corine are from the year they were both in Hinsdale together right after college – they never missed a trivia night at the Kerry Piper, used any excuse to get Oberweis and frequented Tracy’s Tavern (RIP). Corine is supportive, funny and sees the best in people.

John Kurtz

Groomsman

I met John when I transferred before 9th grade from a very small private Christian school to Shawnee Mission East High School, knowing nobody. I literally cannot think of a better person to have as my first friend in a new, somewhat intimidating environment. Johns innate kindness, inclusiveness, and sheer joy for life allowed me to flourish socially in High School. I attribute much of who I am as a person to my friends, and high school is one of the most formative chapters in anyones life. Im blessed to call John one of my best friends and honored that he would stand by my side on my wedding day.

Heather Nyheim

Bridesmaid

Heather and Megan met in high school and first started hanging out when their circle of friends started to overlap. Megan vividly remembers the first time she knew Heather was her true pal when they were on the phone together (probably about some high school DRAMA), and Heather listened attentively, gave great advice and was all around fun to talk to. The two clicked and even though there is no way either of them could ever recall what that conversation was about, the way Heather made Megan feel will stick with her forever. It’s no surprise that Heather is a therapist today! Heather is bubbly, supportive and always down for some chit chat.

Rohit Mittal

Groomsman

I met Ro in the Honors Program at the Walton School of Business at University of Arkansas. We were also roommates for a couple years in our mid 20's living in Atlanta. Ro got a front row seat to my quarter life crisis when I quit my job in Equity Research, choosing to pursue a venture-backed startup with considerably more professional risk. His defining trait, pertinent to myself at the time and why I value our friendship so much, is a growth mindset. We regularly get on the phone and talk for an hour or more about what the future will look like. Our shared passion for technology, crypto, fantasy football, and personal reflection makes me grateful for knowing him. Its my honor to have him stand by my side on my wedding day.

Christie Kidston

Bridesmaid

Christie is Megan’s oldest friend. The two grew up across the street from one another and have known each other since they were in diapers. They have countless cherished memories together, but some of the most special will always be the long summers they would spend together. By day, these summers would include video games, AOL instant messenger, pool days and bike riding. By night they’d gather the rest of the cul-de-sac kids for SPUD and ghost in the graveyard then watch blockbuster rentals and have sleepovers – the perfect summer recipe. Christie is thoughtful, lifts people up and is a ride or die friend.

Tommy Hughes

Groomsman

I met Tommy at the University of Arkansas. Tommy is the real-world equivalent of the "wanna do karate in the garage" meme from Step Brothers. I have so many vivid memories of just random stuff. While we never formally lived together, we might as well have those last couple years of college. Sky-hook ping pong ball bank shots into Das Boot. Youtube Sunrise Yoga after Tommy's graveyard shift in the warehouse. Monday Night Football + Pizza Hut Big Dinner Box. Tommy beating my objectively better fantasy teams in the championship game (3x). Flamethrower sports takes. Im blessed to have Tommy in my life and look forward to our continued friendship.

Katie Franks

Bridesmaid

Katie and Megan met in elementary school and their friendship really taught Megan the art of girl talk. They’d love to have sleepovers and gossip, talk about boys, even speculate on when they’d get married – just a mere twenty some years later – Megan finally would! In high school, Katie and Megan continued their love of gab when they became hosts of a high school radio show with their friend Clare. The three took their extracurricular very seriously and would have constant brainstorms with topics to fill the airwaves with and the best songs to play, like Live Your Life by T.I. (ft. Rihanna), Right Round by Flo Rida and Swagga Like Us by Jay Z – all edited versions, of course. Their most devoted listeners (their parents, Amy and Claire) couldn’t get enough! Katie is funny, empathetic and the best storyteller you will ever meet.

Jack Williamson

Groomsman

Jack was one of my best friends while in Grad school at Vanderbilt. Our shared passions for golf, winter sports, discussing what the garage of our 20k sq ft mountain house would need, among other interests, have built the foundation for what will be a lifelong friendship. A sad reality about full time Business School is that after its over, everyone scatters across the country to their respective cities and its increasingly hard to stay in touch. With Jack, I haven't doubted for a second that he will be in my life for as long as were both around - and for that I am grateful.

Claire Gilmore

Officiant

Claire and Megan were in a carpool together when they were on Hawks Travel Soccer team together in the third grade (athletes!) and Megan’s dad always said he thought, out of all the other girls, they clicked the best – he was right! Flash forward to sixth grade English, everyone was given an assignment to “rap” a synopsis of their summer reading. Unsurprisingly, most sixth graders were horrified at the thought and the first ten kids to go ended up just reading their rap in a monotone voice. When it was Claire’s turn to go, she fully committed to her rap and made Megan laugh so hard that the teacher scolded her. Megan knew she had to be friends with this girl, and they have been ever since - the two were roommates in Chicago for five years!!! Claire is hilarious, thoughtful, and has a heart of gold.
