Please join us to kick off the weekend festivities! Light fare and refreshments will be provided. NOTE: There is no shuttle bus from the hotels for this event! Please park at First Congregational Church in Kittery (address is above), and we have coordinated a shuttle bus that will run throughout the duration of the event. If you are taking a taxi, you are welcome to be dropped off at the View.

Shuttle Bus

Would you like to use the optional shuttle service for the wedding day? We have reserved a bus as a transportation option on the wedding day. The bus will shuttle guests from two preferred Portsmouth hotels to the church, from the church to the reception, and from the reception to the two Portsmouth hotels. Driving distance is about 15 minutes each way. If you want to have more flexibility in when you arrive/depart from the festivities, we recommend driving yourself/with others. Ceremony
4:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Cocktail Attire: Wear summer dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or jackets and slacks. You may want to avoid stiletto heels, as the grass may be soft. When in doubt, err on the side of comfort, as it may be a little warm in late July!
The ceremony will begin at 4pm. Parking is available on both sides of York Street and along the church side of Woodbridge Road.

With cocktails on the lawn, dinner on a wide covered porch, and dancing inside the clubhouse, the reception will be located right on the York River with a lovely summer breeze. However, like many historical shingle-style buildings, the clubhouse is not air conditioned. Parking is available along the tennis courts and along the one-way driveway.
