Caty & Austin met while attending Bowdoin College in Maine. Along with being varsity athletes (Caty swam, Austin played football), they both sang in a cappella groups. It all began with a cup of decaf coffee... seven years, four cities, and many ice cream cones later, they are finally tying the knot!

Caty and Austin, along with Caty's parents, were visiting Caty's grandmother "GG" who lives in Brewster, Cape Cod. As with Maine, the Cape is incredibly important to both Caty and Austin, and they'd hoped to incorporate it in some way into the engagement/wedding. Caty and Austin's friends invited them to a beach picnic on Sunday, May 28th. Mid-picnic, Caty was tapped on her shoulder by her sister Bay, of all people! Bay had driven up from Baltimore that day and surprised Caty for the occasion. From there, Austin walked Caty down to the jetty and proposed during golden hour. The rest of the evening with filled with toasts and food with the Hansons and Sterns (Austin's parents had also surprised Caty!). A farewell brunch the next morning hosted by GG completed a simple, moving, and beautiful weekend.
