Do you have a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes! We’ve secured a block of rooms at the Saint Michaels Inn. To take advantage of the group discount you must book your room(s) before May 8th. https://www.stmichaels-inn.com/ Unfortunately, most of the other hotels have been fully booked since last Fall due to the IRONMAN Eagleman competition hosted by Cambridge, Maryland on June 9, 2019. Fortunately, rooms at the Saint Michaels Inn are offered at the lowest rate in the area and the hotel is actually the closest (only 1.6 miles) to Salty Oaks! There are also a lot of great Airbnb rentals in the area, which may be a better option for those of you coming as a larger group and/or from farther away.

Where is the ceremony/reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will both be at Salty Oaks, Colleen Smyth and Jim Caw’s gorgeous waterfront property on the Miles River. Their address is: 25756 Saint Michaels Rd Easton, MD 21601

What time should we be there?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m on Saturday, June 8. We kindly ask guests to arrive 15 to 30 minutes prior to grab a beverage, some delicious appetizers, and start mingling. 🙂

When are the RSVPs due?

Answer

We’d love to know if you can make it (we hope you can!). Please RSVP by May 1st using the RSVP card that came in the mail or via our RSVP section here (https://www.zola.com/wedding/rsvp).

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite cocktail or dress casual attire, or new summer sundress!

Any other special attire notes we should know?

Answer

Late Spring in Saint Michaels, Maryland is warm, and can even be sometimes downright hot and humid. There will be a large tent in the lush, grassy backyard for the reception. The backyard is right on the Miles River -- just wait until you see the view!

Will parking be available?

Answer

Carpooling is highly recommended. There is parking available all along the road in front of the house. Please do not park in the driveway or the yard as there will be a catering service and other vendors on site utilizing the driveway.

Can I bring my children (and/or pets)?

Answer

We love all of your children (and pets!), however, we have decided to make this an adults-only/human-only celebration. We hope you understand!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to e-mail us at cjcaw0608@gmail.com with any questions!

Will transportation be provided to the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

No. The reserved hotel is a short 1.6 mile ride away from the ceremony/reception location. Please try to carpool if you can as parking is only available along the road.

Will there be food and drinks served?

Answer

Oh, yes there will! We will have appetizers, a full open bar, as well as a 3-course meal, and wedding cupcakes! Our main mission is to make you stuffed!

Um, is there a sun and moon? LOL. Of course we will have dancing! We have arranged for an awesome DJ who will help you dance your tush off!
