Traverse and I met while we were both attending school for our electrical apprenticeships. Traverse was my long time friend Ryan Little’s classmate. On my first day of class Ryan introduced us to each other. It wasn’t until 2 years later when everything changed at a work golf outing. Traverse approached me after the outing to ask how I had been doing. We hung out with our coworkers the rest of that evening and when we parted ways we made plans to meet up again for dinner, but this time just the two of us. The rest was history!
On a crisp and snowy January morning Traverse, affectionately named after the city, took me on a fall road trip up to Traverse City to go wine tasting. We started our day driving north to Mission Point Lighthouse where he popped the question. We spent the rest of the day driving down the peninsula and ended our trip at our favorite coffee shop, Leelanau coffee company. It couldn’t have been more perfect!
