This is the venue. Five Vines Wine Bar can be accessed in several ways - we'll be in the upstairs room, which you can access through this door and up the stairs. There is a covered walkway on Camino Capistrano that leads to the upstairs room of Five Vines. The Camino Capistrano walkway is the easiest entrance to navigate if stairs are difficult.

Lodging Options

We do not have a hotel block, as we live in town. However, we know many of you are traveling in, and may need accommodations. There are many hotels in the area at a wide range of price points - here are a few suggestions that may work for you: The closest hotel to the venue is the Inn at the Mission San Juan Capistrano, at 31692 El Camino Real, SJC. This Marriott property is walking distance to the venue and all downtown SJC attractions, including shopping, dining, and the Mission. The Residence Inn Dana Point/San Juan Capistrano, at 33711 Camino Capistrano, SJC. This option is on the free city trolley route that conveniently stops at the hotel, and also stops at the top of Verdugo street near the venue. The Hilton Garden Inn Dana Point/Doheny Beach, 34402 Pacific Coast Highway, is an easy ride-share up Camino Capistrano to downtown SJC and is located directly across from the beach at Doheny State Beach, where we're planning to have a bonfire on Friday night. Speaking of State Beach, you Van Lifers might appreciate Doheny State Campground. It's a popular campground and is often difficult to get last minute reservations, so book early if you want to camp at this beach. The alternative option is San Mateo Campground in South San Clemente. San Mateo is a very nice campground that often doesn't fill up until later in the season and might be a good option. There is also San Clemente State Beach and San Onofre State beach campgrounds.

Travel Note

Parking at Five Vines Wine Bar

Parking in the downtown San Juan Capistrano area has become increasingly challenging as success has descended on our little town. There is a public parking structure nearby and surface lots are all over the immediate area, but it can be difficult on weekends to find a spot. You may want to rideshare downtown, or take the free San Juan Trolley to the corner of Camino Capistrano and Verdugo Street.
