We recommend grabbing a drink at FIDDLERS (fam favorite), Jesus, Lauber, No. 6, and Fat Bird! Take a walk around downtown, visit the new library, or stop by the Cholocate Cafe. Walk around Howard Park and visit the Howard Park Public House...Or walk the Mishawaka River Walk and get a beer at Sun King or a cocktail at Social Cantina. :) Notre Dame is always open for exploring!
Basilica, Golden Dome, Grotto, Art Museum, sports...all the ND things! Spend a day at our favorite college campus! :)
Take a distillery tour and have a drink at the Indiana Whiskey Company in South Bend. You can also hit up the The Exchange Bar to add to the mini-bourbon tour. :)
We have our own Willy Wonka factory!!! Take a tour and eat so homemade chocolate at the South Bend Chocolate Factory!
If you're visiting for a while, you can hit up a baseball game with our CUBS affiliate team!
If you're visiting for a while, and art and music is more your thing, the Morris is the best place to catch a performance!
Take a short drive to St. Joseph, MI, where you'll find Silver Beach, the St. Joseph Lake Michigan Light House, and a cute downtown for some shopping and ice cream! Another Lake Michigan destination is New Buffalo, where there are more beaches and more cute shorefront stores. The Bride recommends a visit to the Stray Dog for a drink or snack.
There are several Michigan wineries close by -- Google a few and go on your own little wine-tasting tour! (Be warned: Michiana wine is sweet.)
Go for a walk, hike, or jog through St. Pat's park!
South of town, we have an expansive state park that is great for hiking! (It is also just around the corner from the Bride's family home). :)
