Best Man
I am overwhelmed with gratitude for my son Sean, who is standing beside me as my Best Man. He has been a source of strength, love, and grounding throughout my life, and knowing he’ll be at my side on this day fills me with a kind of pride and emotion that’s hard to put into words. His presence isn’t just meaningful—it’s a reminder of the bond we’ve built and the love that has shaped us both.
Matron of Honor
My darling Simone. When I met you 38 years ago for our Summer Program at SUNY New Paltz, you were bubbly, fabulous and crazy. Nothing has changed. I am delighted to have you as my Matron of Honor. Thank you for filling my life with joy and "foolishness" over the decades. Wishing you all the happiness, more success and great health. It is truly special to have a friend like you for nearly four decades. Love Catherine

My son Brandon who means the world to me. The incredibly special bond that we share. So proud of you and your accomplishments. Having you by my side to walk me down the aisle will undoubtedly be one of the most memorable moments of my wedding day. Love Mom
Maid of Honor
My Miriam. Where do I begin? Another beautiful friendship of 38 years also started at SUNY College at New Paltz. My fondest memory is our first meal at Hasbrouck Dining Hall. We sat and talked for hours and not enjoying the horrible food. We had many things in common with the exception of going to nightclubs. You introduced me to my first nightclub, The Tunnel in 1989 to celebrate us becoming Alpha Angel sisters. That was the beginning of our sisterhood. You pushed me out of my comfort zone. I never went back due to the smoke. I wanted to leave immediately, but you convinced me to stay. That night clearly became a cornerstone of our friendship. Our friendship is a lifetime of shared history. You’ve been there through so many important moments in my life since college, every laugh, every meltdown, every late-night talk and honestly, I can’t imagine this next chapter without you by my side on my wedding day. It would mean the world to have you standing with me on such a special day. Not just because of the title, but because of everything you are to me—my best friend, my support system, and basically family. No matter what, I’m so grateful for you and our friendship. Love Catherine

Ray my friend, my partner! A man some would say who’s been putting up with me since we were ten years old. We’ve grown up together, weathered every high and low, and through it all his loyalty, love, and unwavering support have never once faltered. He doesn’t like for me to say this but I’m proud to say that he has been a role model to me as we have navigated this thing called life together and I’m forever grateful to him. Having him stand with me on this day means more than I can ever fully express, and I’m honored to share this moment with someone who has walked every step of the journey with me.

My big sister, I just wanted to take a moment to write and tell you how much you mean to me. Sometimes life gets busy and we don’t always say these things out loud, but I hope you know how important you are in my life. You’ve always been someone I could look up to—whether I said it or not. Your strength, your advice, and even the way you handle tough situations have shaped me more than you probably realize. I’m really grateful for all the times you’ve been there for me, even in ways that seemed small at the time. I know we don’t always agree on everything, and we’ve had our share of moments, but at the end of the day, nothing changes the fact that you’re my sister and I care about you deeply. That bond is something I’ll always value. Love, Catherine

I am profoundly grateful for my main man Eric, a man I’ve grown alongside as we’ve figured out life, manhood, and everything in between. We’ve stood by each other through every high and low, and even saying “loyalty and support” doesn’t come close to describing the love this brother has shown me over the years. Eric has been a constant source of strength, honesty, and heart, and having him in my life has been and continues to be something I cherish more than words can fully express.

My Beautiful Niece, Shana Shana, my beautiful niece—the eldest of two girls. I’ve had the joy of watching you grow into such a beautiful and intelligent woman. When you were born, I’ll admit, I had always wanted a daughter. But from the very beginning, you became like one to me. It’s funny how life works—your mom wanted a boy, and not long after, I gave birth to a baby boy, and she gave birth to a baby girl just two months later. From those early days until now, you have always held a special place in my heart. Watching you grow, learn, and become the woman you are today has been a true blessing. Love, Auntie Catherine

I’m truly grateful for Jim Townes, even though I’m still not sure how a simple work partnership turned into a full‑blown brotherhood complete with wisdom, support, and enough laughter to get us both in trouble more than once. From day one, Jim opened his heart, shared his knowledge, and somehow managed to guide me through some of the most critical moments of my life without ever losing that trademark grin. His loyalty has been rock‑solid, his timing impeccable, and his ability to keep me laughing when I needed it most is nothing short of legendary. I’m proud to call him my brother, and even prouder he’s part of this moment with me.

My beautiful niece Delani, The younger of two girls, just like me—and you wear it so well. That radiant smile of yours, your poise, your quiet strength… it all shines so brightly. May you always walk with grace and courage, with a heart full of love and a spirit that knows no bounds. I am so incredibly proud of all you’ve accomplished. I can’t wait for the day I get to call you for medical advice. #WeAreTheYoungestSisterRulesDon'tApplyToUs. Love, Auntie Catherine

So grateful for Gary, who has been a constant in my life since 1980. He welcomed me to Los Angeles with open arms, and in doing so, he opened my eyes to a bigger world. Gary broadened my horizons in more ways than I can count, pushing me to experience life on a deeper, richer level. So much of who I am today is shaped by the adventures, lessons, and love he’s shared with me. Gary my man, love and appreciate you Bro. I’m honored to celebrate this moment with someone who helped elevate my life from the very beginning.

Carmen, I’m really glad to have the chance to get to know you better. You’re an important part of your father's life, and that makes you important to me too. I’d love for us to build our own connection over time, in a way that feels natural and comfortable for both of us. I’m looking forward to learning more about you and finding the things we might enjoy sharing together. Love, Catherine

My dearest Linh-da, I’ve been thinking about how funny it is that life brought us together the way it did—through dating friends of all things. At the time, I don’t think either of us realized that something so much more meaningful was forming in the background. What started as coincidence turned into one of the most genuine and lasting connections in my life. Somewhere along the way, you stopped just being “someone I knew” and became like a little sister to me. That’s not something I say lightly. It means I care about you deeply, I root for you in everything you do, and I feel protective of your happiness and your peace. Watching you grow, figure things out, and become more of who you are has been something I’m really grateful to witness. I hope you always know that I’m here for you—not just for the easy, fun moments, but for the messy, confusing, and hard ones too. You don’t have to have everything figured out, and you never have to go through anything alone if I can help it. I’m really thankful that our paths crossed when they did. Life has a strange way of working things out, and in this case, it gave me a lifelong bond I truly value. No matter where life takes us, you’ll always have me in your corner. Love, Catherine
