The Romantic & Heartfelt Story

March 11, 2023

The town is often abuzz with tales of chance encounters and orchestrated matches, but few carry the charm of the union between Mr. Malcolm and the enchanting Miss Catherine. As we look back upon the seasons, it appears that destiny—with a firm nudge from a pair of well-meaning conspirators—had been weaving their threads long before they ever graced the same drawing room. A Spark in Buckhead Our story begins not in a ballroom, but in a swanky establishment in the heart of Buckhead. It was there that Lord Bob White and his ever-radiant wife, Simone, requested the pleasure of our hero’s company for spirits and conversation. The dialogue was light until the subject of the heart was broached. Upon learning that our gentleman was unattached, Lady Simone—with the keen eye of the season's most formidable matchmaker—inquired with great emphasis if he was truly "Single Single." Having confirmed his solitary state, Simone produced her looking-glass (or rather, her mobile device) to scroll through the portraits of eligible ladies. She bypassed many a diamond until her thumb halted upon the image of Miss Catherine. Even Bob could not contain his approval, declaring her "Nice!" with such fervor that our hero’s interest was instantly piqued. One glimpse of her portrait was all it took; he declared himself quite ready for an introduction. The Grand Entrance Months passed—as they often do when anticipation is high—until Saturday, the eleventh of March. Following an alumni gathering of the most prestigious sort, the party converged upon our gentleman’s private residence. He went to the gate to receive his guests, only to find Miss Catherine at the helm of her carriage. She maneuvered into the courtyard with confidence that suggested she owned the very cobblestones beneath her wheels. Our hero could only watch, thinking to himself that this was a lady of significant spirit and thinking to himself, “This is going to be interesting.” She finally made it into the house (after a quick pit stop) in the ladies room on the lower level of the house. When she finally ascended to the main parlor, she did not scurry; she surveyed the surroundings with the discerning eye of a duchess. Upon meeting his gaze, she offered a simple, poised appraisal: "Well, this is nice." A bold entrance, indeed! An Evening of Delights The party soon moved to Arnette’s Steakhouse for a late-night repast. It was here, Dear Reader, that the air grew thick with more than just the scent of fine cuisine. Catherine settled herself quite close to our gentleman, a gesture of favor that did not go unnoticed. He took the lead, selecting their meal with such taste that Catherine found herself thoroughly delighted. Upon returning to the house, the pair stole away to the kitchen’s loveseat, leaving the Whites to their own devices. There, in a display of comfort that would surely set the gossip columns ablaze, Catherine rested her feet upon his lap as they shared laughter and secrets until the clock demanded her departure or rather, until Simone yelled upstairs that “it was time to leave.” The Inseparable Bond The following Monday, a "brief" lunch transformed into a six-hour symposium of the heart. We realized then that we weren't just two people on a date; we were two halves of a whole. They have been inseparable ever since—two souls finally finding their rhythm. The Arrival of the Diamond And so, it is with the greatest joy that this author confirms: on the thirteenth day of September 2025, at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, in the presence of their children, our hero knelt and asked for Catherine’s hand in marriage. She, of course, said Yes. The season may change, but a love like this is timeless. Now we invite you to help us write our happiest chapter yet.
