Southwest Michigan has so many amazing wineries to explore! Some of our favorites include Round Barn, Lemon Creek, Dablon, Gravity, 12 Corners, and Vineyard 2121 ... just to name a few! (Tabor Hill is off-limits for now — you’ll be here with us on Saturday for the wedding!)
Breweries Nearby
Southwest Michigan is also full of great breweries to explore! We love North Pier Brewing Company, Silver Harbor, Beer Church, Seedz, Haymarket, Peat's Cider Social, SideYard ... just to get you started! (Save Watermark for later — we will be here for welcome drinks!)
Restaurants & Food
There are plenty of delicious options in the area! Of course, Silver Beach Pizza is a must-visit — it can get busy, but you can make a reservation for the upstairs dining area; otherwise, it’s first come, first served. Silver Harbor, Schu’s, Buck's Burgers, and RyeBelles are all in town and great choices. For legendary spots, check out Redamak’s and Stray Dog in New Buffalo. And don’t forget about ice cream! Kilwin’s, Cabanas, and Dairy Corner are perfect for a sweet treat. Plus, all the usual drive-thrus are nearby if you want something quick!
St. Joe Farmers Market
Visit the St. Joseph Farmers Market on Saturday morning held in Lake Bluff Park (near downtown St. Joe and across the street from Boulevard Inn, one of the hotels where we’ve set up a room block for you to stay). You’ll find fresh produce, baked goods, flowers, meats, cheeses, coffee, and more from local vendors. After walking around the market you can walk to town for shopping or wine tasting or walk down to the beach!
Shopping & Boutiques
Downtown St. Joseph is perfect for a morning or afternoon stroll with unique shops, local boutiques, and art galleries. You’ll also find a few wine tasting rooms in town if you want to enjoy some local wines without heading out to the wineries.
Beach Day
Silver Beach is a classic lakefront spot, just a short walk from the Boulevard Inn, one of the hotels where we’ve set up a room block for you to stay. Be sure to see the iconic Silver Beach Lighthouse, one of the area’s most photographed views. After enjoying the sand and water, stop by Silver Beach Pizza for a slice.
