FAQs

If you have any questions that are not addressed, please reach out to either the bride or the groom.
Question

How many of the invited guests are vaccinated?

Answer

100% of our guests that are coming to the wedding are vaccinated.

Question

How do I get to the wedding?

Answer

For guests staying at the hotel, we will provide a shuttle bus to take guests to the venue and back to the hotel after the reception. For all of our other guests, we ask that you plan to drive and park at the venue. Follow Neck Road from Beatties Ford. Note, do not take Jim Kidd Road, which is the service entrance and may be blocked.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

No. We would rather our guests focus on enjoying the ceremony so we've hired a professional photographer for the day. It would be a shame if their photos captured you on your phone, or worse, your phone blocking anyone's view, so please keep phones away until the reception.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your save-the-date and invitation were addressed to you and a guest, then yes, you may bring a date.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking for the ceremony and reception at Rural Hill. The big barn is where the reception will be and the ceremony will be on the grounds a short walk away.

Question

What if it rains?

Answer

In the event of rain, we will hold the ceremony on the covered patio attached to the main reception hall.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know of any allergies as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Question

Should I bring a gift to the wedding?

Answer

We appreciate the generosity of any gift and would prefer that any physical gifts are sent to our home in Richmond. We will be leaving for our honeymoon immediately and will not be able to take things back home before we leave.

Question

Do I need to get the COVID-19 vaccine to attend the wedding?

Answer

While we understand some guests may have hesitations about getting vaccinated, there are a few guests who either cannot get the vaccine or are unsure if they will have an immune response to the vaccine because of chronic auto-immune illnesses. To protect them, we ask that anyone wanting to attend who can get a vaccine please do so. Having herd immunity among our guests is the best chance we have at celebrating together fully and safely.
