Appalachian National Scenic Trail

Elmwood Farm is situated very close to the AT. There are a few hikes nearby that Kate has enjoyed over the years. These include Raven Rocks, Buzzard Rock, and Bear's Den trails. Be sure to look at the trail ahead of time and choose one that is a good fit for your fitness level.

Sky Meadows State Park

Sky Meadows offers some great trails and views! Please go and take in some of the beautiful countryside.

Upperville Colt & Horse Show

One week a year, Upperville hosts one of the oldest horse shows in the country. Kate has ridden "under the oaks," on her horse, Patrick, in high school. Since that time, Kate's mom's horse, Maeve, has shown in many classes. It is incredible watching the horses and riders work together in their routes around the ring! Consider taking some time to enjoy this event and get a glimpse at one of Kate's favorite activities! Sunday there will be an antique car show and a jumper classic. Enjoy a stroll in Middleburg! Some of the Ramundo's favorite spots include Knead Wine and Pizza, The Oyster Bar, and Middleburg Common Grounds. Also consider getting an ice cream at Scruffy's! They support The Middleburg Humane Foundation and help many animals find their forever homes!

Salamander Middleburg

Enjoy a cocktail at the Gold Cup bar at the Salamander Resort! You may even see a surprise appearance from their miniature horse, "Cupcake," who will occasionally wander through the lobby of the resort.
