2022 Wedding Party:

Cat

Bride

Owen

Groom

Nikki Markley

Matron of Honor

We met in high school mocking the same strange kid - and that was that - best friends forever. She then brought me into the life of local bands and hair dye, late night chats and yearly holiday parties. Our first trip to California and all of our DC adventures. While life is always changing, Nikki (FM), I know I can always count on her. Also, ask her about that time I almost got us eaten by bears in Cali - she'll never forgive me.

Joe DeSantis

Best Man

Owen could not ask for a better boss or friend. Owen has known Joe for half of his life. Before Aquatic Impressions was even created. I am so glad that they get to work together and make money doing something they enjoy. I think their work styles balance each other out and they create some pretty amazing tanks together.

Steve Zapp

Bridesman

We met that night his band played at Sonar and my mom coming to pick me up got so lost, I think she ended up in PA. I know I never have to convince him to go anywhere that penguins exist, to most concerts, some weird interactive museum, or some restaurant that I found a menu for that looks amazing. If there is an adventure to be had, or I just need a friend, he's there.

Ray Shaw

Groomsman

Owen's brother - he put up with me living with them for months. There was that one time we tried to make caramel - it didn't go well. I will also never forget how grasshoppers smell roasting in the oven. Owen and I never used that silpat again. Ray is kind and funny and talented and makes some pretty delicious food (just not grasshoppers), and I'm glad to be part of the family.

Lindsay Thomas

Bridesmaid

From Hawaii to Iceland, and all those random trips in between - my travel partner in crime. Before we both got old with real jobs she could show up at 2 am and we'd be out looking for meteor showers or northern lights, which we never saw in MD, but that didn't stop us from trying. And that time she flipped off the person in the car next to her because she thought it was me (it wasn't). That's what best friendship looks like. Ask her about that gross candy bar we found creative ways of gifting to each other over the years.

David Zobel

Groomsman

This jerk - he thinks he's responsible for this just because we met in his class. He ruined design forever and I can't look at anything the same way again. The whole world is filled with terrible things. I did get him to end a class early once just so we could all go get grilled cheese. No one has ever been so uncomfortable in my car. But there's no one else we would rather throw paint at (I still can't believe that church let us paint the whole outside), critique horrible excuses for art or sit around a fire with.

Tiffany McGeeney

Bridesmaid

My stepsister - Babysitting her is the reason I'll never have kids. Jk jk. I'm so proud of who she has grown up to be. But also, if I do have a kid, I swear won't duct tape them and leave them on a porch like I did to her. Multiple times. In different states even. Once I taped her to another person. She still loves me though, I think.

Launa Dixon

Bridesmaid

That time where we all somehow lived in that 2 bedroom apartment at Kingsridge with the Ham. A fellow lover of cephalopods. One day you're going to get tired of me buying you octopus things. She's so freakin talented and I always look forward to family gatherings and Ren Fests with her.

Amanda Ramsel

Bridesmaid

Cousin and Friend - I can always count on her for life advice, wedding prep, chatting, and that mac and cheese on holidays! I'm so glad you could be there for our first wedding and so glad you'll celebrate wedding 2.0 with us. She's also a professional bubble machine holder now - you should hire her for your weddings. 5 stars.

Jessica Weider

Bridesmaid

Cousin and Friend - she taught me how to drive and gave me my freedom! She didn't take me boring places either, we went to nice parks so I could take photos too, because family gets it. I never get to see her enough but know she is always there if I need her. I look forward to every holiday I get to catch up with her.

Caitlin Sowards

Bridesmaid

Cousin and friend - we are so alike, but usually so far away from each other. I love who she is growing up to be. I hate I don't see her more, but always treasure the times I do get to spend with her. Also I made Owen stand in line with me for 6 hours in the rain in the winter to get Gerard Way's autograph to surprise her so I have to be her fav cousin ever I'm pretty sure.

Waffles & Foxy

Best Dog & Dog of Honor

Our fur children. While they will not be present at the wedding (Lirio says no pets inside), they are a part of all of our days.

Midna & Olive

Best Fur Cat & Fur Cat of Honor

They are not putting up with cute wedding themed outfits, and would really just run from our guests - but they are a part of our little family and all of our days.

For all the days along the way
