Hotel
If a hotel is more your style, we recommend The Graduate Hotel in the University District (about 2 miles from our home). There are several other hotel options within a block or two of The Graduate if you prefer those, and we will be providing a shuttle starting at The Graduate to the ceremony. The Graduate also offers complimentary bike rentals.
Shuttle
September 5, 2021 9:00 am - 10:00 am
We will have a small shuttle starting at The Graduate Hotel in the University District and running through Wallingford, East Green Lake, and Roosevelt to transport guests staying in these areas to the ceremony. The shuttle will also stop at the Green Lake Park and Ride (8th Ave NE and NE 65th Street under I-5) for those who are driving and prefer to avoid looking for street parking near our house. If you would like to use the shuttle please remember to let us know in your RSVP so we can arrange a stop for you! See the map at http://bit.ly/cat-and-mia-seattle for planned shuttle route (subject to change based on who needs it where). Please note there will not be a return shuttle running after the reception.
Flight
SEA is the best airport to fly into if you are traveling by plane. With the vaccine rollout and people eager to start traveling again, we recommend you look soon for the best rates.
Train
For $3.25, you can ride from the SeaTac airport to North Seattle on the Link Light Rail. Board at the airport and ride to the last stop (UW Husky Stadium). From there, you can use the same ticket to transfer to a bus, or use rideshare to your final destination.
Travel Note
Uber runs a "dockless" bike rental company called JUMP throughout the city. "Dockless" means that you find a bike with a mobile app, unlock it through your phone, ride to your destination, and use the same mobile app to complete the ride. You can pick up and leave the bike anywhere that's legal (please don't block sidewalks!); bikes can be found throughout the city, most often in neighborhood centers. Pricing is $1 to unlock and 36 cents per minute thereafter. LINK electric scooters are another option for getting around the neighborhood. They operate just like the bikes with an app, which can be found at link.city, with similar pricing. Ride scooters carefully in the street or bike lane - they can not be used on sidewalks. King County law requires all bicyclists and scooter riders to wear helmets.
Travel Note
Are you driving to the wedding and have room in your car? Or do you need a lift? Whether you're wanting to join another couple road tripping up from San Francisco, or offering a few rides back to Wallingford after the reception, use our carpooling website to connect with others traveling the same direction and help us reduce car trips!
