ABSO-F***ING-LUTELY! We are respectfully requiring that all our eligible guests make plans to be fully vaccinated by the 5th of September. Please get vaccinated as soon as possible, for everyone's sake! But for the purposes of our wedding, make sure you schedule that second or single-dose vaccine by August 21st at the absolute latest. If you are not willing or able to get the vaccine, please feel free to join us for the livestream option. Thank you for keeping yourself and all of us safe!
Given current COVID vaccine eligibility guidelines, we do not expect that children under the age of 12 will be able to be vaccinated by the time of the wedding. While we would absolutely love to see all of your children, we've made the difficult decision to limit the number of children under 12 attending our wedding to family and a few of our closest friends (you know who you are). We strongly encourage you to consider leaving your children in someone else's care to keep them, and all our guests, safe. Plus, you've been stuck inside with your kids for a year and a half. You deserve a break. If you can not travel without your children and need help finding childcare accommodations in Seattle, or if you have any other concerns or questions, please get in touch with us. We appreciate your understanding and send all our love to your kiddos.
We completely understand. This year has been absolutely insane, and you don't need to make any excuses for prioritizing where your financial resources are directed, needing to spend your precious time off with family you haven't seen in ages, or simply not feeling up to traveling right now. If you need to decline but still want to participate, please know we will be live streaming our big day so that if you wish, you can still be a part of it no matter where you are. You can RSVP to the live stream on our RSVP page.
As soon as possible, but please, no later than July 17. We appreciate you planning ahead so we can plan too! If you're still not sure by then, we get it! Just get in touch to let us know where you're at.
We made this handy spreadsheet to connect you with other people if you're looking to share a larger rental for the weekend, or if you have a room in Seattle to offer up: http://bit.ly/cat-and-mia-sharebnb. And whether you're driving from California or your hotel 2 miles away, connect with others traveling the same direction and help us reduce car trips! Check out the carpool lane at: https://www.groupcarpool.com/t/b2ckad Get in touch with us if you have issues with using these tools or need more help.
Please plan to arrive no earlier than 9:15 and no later than 9:55. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.
If you're driving, we recommend arriving early to find free street parking in our neighborhood. Please be respectful of our neighbors - do not park in alleys or block driveways. If you can walk the eight minutes between our house and the reception hall, you can leave your car in one place all day. There is a free parking lot at the Green Lake Community Center (East Green Lake Drive N & Latona Ave NE) that is quite close to our house as well as the reception hall. The lot technically has a four hour limit. It often fills up early with people using the park. There is a park-and-ride lot under I-5 and NE 65th St (6601 8th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115). It is unmonitored and intended for transit users, but usually underutilized on weekends. Our shuttle will pick up there. There is also a paid parking garage around the corner from the reception hall (427 NE 72nd St), if you prefer. See our map for other transportation and parking options! http://bit.ly/cat-and-mia-seattle
