Travel Note
The Methow Valley has been our on-again, off-again home for several years. It is a little tricky to get to, but we think it is well worth the travel. Within the valley are three small towns. From the south, the first major town you will encounter is Twisp. Eight miles up the road is Winthrop, where the celebrations will take place. Fourteen miles further up is Mazama. It would be fine to stay in any of these towns, but staying in Winthrop would limit the amount of driving. Winthrop is about 200 miles northeast of Seattle, a little under 200 miles west of Spokane, and about 100 miles north of Wenatchee. Flights from pretty much anywhere are available into Seattle or Spokane. From either city you can drive to Winthrop in around 3-4 hours. Alternatively you can take a connecting flight into Wenatchee, which shortens the drive to around 2 hours. However, the route from Seattle to the Methow over the North Cascades Highway is worth seeing if you haven't already.
Hotel
This is where the ceremony and reception will take place and where our families and the wedding party will be staying. A block has been placed on the entire inn so that other guests can stay there as well. To book accommodations, you have to call the inn and tell them you are with the Leininger/Means wedding. Online booking is unavailable for that weekend. If the inn has filled up, don't worry. There are plenty of other nearby lodging options.
