Washington Pass
Washington Pass is an experience you shouldn't miss. You will drive over the pass if you take State Highway 20 over the North Cascades from Seattle. There is a lifetime of recreation activities found along the Highway 20 corridor, and September is the best time to experience it. Within a 40 minute drive of the wedding venue there are easy to strenuous day hikes, fishing, backpacking, mountaineering, and some of the best alpine rock climbing in the world! We recommend: Cutthroat lake (easy hike) Maple Pass (more strenuous hike, but worth it) Highway 20 Overlook
North Cascade Smoke Jumper Base
Dan's place of work. Tours daily! If you're lucky, you'll get to see a practice jump.
Winthrop National Fish Hatchery
Home of the Methow Beaver Project, where Catherine worked for several years. Get a tour, see the beavers, feed the fish, and see adult salmon migrating back home through the viewing window.
Mazama Store
We stop by here pretty much every time we go to Mazama, which is a lot. They have delicious baked goods (try the salted baguette!), espresso, groceries, and crafts.

Award winning beer. Pub fare. Live music most nights.
East 20 Pizza
Great pizza and a nice patio. Happy hour from 3-5.

Local winery tasting room. Right across the street from the venue.
