Things To Do

Here’s a list of our favorite spots on the island. Dinner reservations typically open about two weeks in advance, and Fridays book up fast; plan ahead if you want to eat out Pre Welcome Drinks!

FOOD & DRINKS

------

The Nautilus

12 Cambridge Street, Nantucket, MA 02554

Easily the toughest reservation on the island this season. Amazing food. Outstanding cocktails.

Bar Yoshi

21 Old South Wharf, Nantucket, MA 02554

Fantastic sushi right on the docks—one of our favorites.

Ventuno Restaurant

21 Federal Street, Nantucket, MA 02554

Excellent Italian fare, and the back bar at night makes for a perfect pre- or post-dinner hangout.

Brotherhood of Thieves

23 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554

Craving pub food and a great beer? This is the place.

Via Mare

17 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554

A cozy, intimate bar and restaurant—perfect for a relaxed night out.

Cisco Brewers

5 Bartlett Farm Road, Nantucket, MA 02554

We’ll be gathering here on Sunday for a post-wedding celebration, but feel free to visit another day. Amazing beer, cocktails, and great vibes await—plus food trucks and live music.

LATE NIGHT

------

The Gaslight

3 North Union Street, Nantucket, MA 02554

Excellent Japanese/Asian fusion cuisine with a reliably open bar. Conveniently located in the heart of town, it’s a solid downtown option if you’re not planning to head to the Chicken Box or the Muse for late-night drinks.

The Muse & Pizza Joint

44 Surfside Road, Nantucket, MA 02554

Hot take: The Muse edges out the Chicken Box—late-night bites and open until 1 AM? Hard to beat.

The Chicken Box

16 Dave Street, Nantucket, MA 02554

Open every day of the year and serving until 1 AM—definitely grab an Uber, but a night at the Chicken Box is unforgettable.

Stubbys

8 Steamboat Wharf, Nantucket, MA 02554

Out late downtown and craving some grub? This is the spot.

NATURE

------

Altar Rock Road

Altar Rock Road, Nantucket, MA 02554

Check out the link below for some of the island’s best hikes! Some are an easy walk from town, while others are worth a quick Uber ride.

Cisco Beach

Nantucket, MA 02554

Our favorite beach on the island (full disclosure: biased). Perfect for catching big fall waves or braving a chilly dip. Plus, it makes for a great running route—about a 7-mile round trip from town.

Brant Point Lighthouse

Easton Street, Nantucket, MA 02554

A charming lighthouse right in town. It’s a nice walk, and a perfect spot to sit and watch people fish.

Great Point Lighthouse

Nantucket, MA 02554

If you’ve rented a car and are feeling adventurous, this wildlife sanctuary is a must-visit. In November, you can watch people scalloping and spot tons of wildlife. Just note—you’ll need a permit and to deflate your tires, so it’s an experience you’ll want to commit to fully.
