Travel Note
We live in a little town called Moretown. Like, very tiny. There is one gas station, a general store, a post office and a school in our town. That's it. Moretown is in an area of Vermont called the Mad River Valley. This area includes the towns of Waitsfield (where the wedding is), and Warren. Waitsfield is a 20 minute drive from our house. Both these towns are small, cute, funky ski resort towns. There are a bunch of restaurants and stores. The Mad River Valley has many Inn's, B&B's and Airbnb's for lodging. The Mad River Valley also has incredible swimming holes, fishing, hiking, and world class mountain biking. And we can't forget spectacular maple creemees. Two other towns that are both within 20 minutes of our house are Montpelier and Waterbury. Montpelier is the capital and has a cute downtown area with coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. Waterbury is a tourist town known for having some of the best craft beer in the world (think Alchemist and Hill Farmstead).
Rental Car
Plan on renting a car. We live in a small town and there is no public transportation. No Ubers, no Lyft, etc. Having a car will make your visit to Vermont a thousand times more fun. We recommend that you buddy up with someone and share the car to save money.
Flight
The Burlington airport (BTV) is adorably small and easy to get through. It's only 45 minutes from our house. This is by far the easiest airport to fly into if you can swing it. Because it's a small airport there are not a lot of flights scheduled each day. So, the risk is that if your flight to BTV gets cancelled for some reason, there might not be another flight until the next day.
Flight
Logan Airport (BOS) in Boston is a very large, major airport. There are tons of flights everyday, all day scheduled into Boston Logan Airport. The downside is that Boston Logan Airport is a three hour drive from the airport to our house. It can also be tricky navigating traffic and crazy roads to get out of there. We think most people will prefer flying into Burlington, Vermont (BTV).
Hotel
This is a very nice hotel at the ski resort that we snowboard at in the winter. The resort is beautiful in the summer. There is an outdoor pool, a solid restaurant, and bike trails and rentals. This is the hotel that we recommend the most because you will be in such a picturesque area and you are only a 10 minute drive into the little towns of Warren and Waitsfield.
Hotel
This is a straight forward hotel, so don't expect a charming Vermonty feel. But it's a nice place and it's one of the few big chain hotels in the area. You are in the middle of the town of Waterbury where there are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores near by. This hotel is near the highway for easy access but not so close that you get any sound disturbance. It is a 15 minute drive from our house and a 25 minute drive to the venue.

House Or Rental
There are tons of nice airbnbs in our area. We highly recommend going this route. These are small towns with lots of space and not a ton of hotels. You can probably share a cool airbnb with a few people and get more of a Vermont experience.

Travel Note
We live in Moretown, Vermont. You may be able to find an airbnb in our town but there aren't many. Middlesex is the next town over. There may be some there too. Neither of these towns have many businesses. For that reason, we recommend that people stay in these towns: Waitsfield, Waterbury, Montpelier. All three of these are nice towns with shops and restaurants that are fun for tourists and they are all a 20 minute drive from our house. If you don't mind driving further, Warren and Richmond are 30 minutes away. We don't recommend staying in Stowe or Burlington. They are great towns but they are both 45-50 minutes away so you will spend a ton of time in the car.
Travel Note
The options here are to rent a car at the airport and drive the 3 hours to Vermont or take a scheduled bus called Dartmouth Coach that will pick you up at the airport and drive you 2 hours into Lebanon, New Hampshire. From New Hampshire you would need someone to drive an hour and pick you up from the bus stop (for example: if you were going to share a rental car with a group and they got into Vermont earlier than you). Now, I say "bus" and "bus stop" very loosely here. It's way nicer than gross city busses. The bus has wifi, they play movies, there's a bathroom, they offer you refreshments when you get on. A one way Dartmouth Coach bus ticket is $40. Again, you must have a car for your trip. The bus is a good way to get out of the Boston airport, but it won't get you all the way to our town.
