We're so dang excited that we all get to be together, we hope you won't mind abiding by these few extra steps to ensure we can do so safely! 1) Every attendee will be required to wear a mask during the entire wedding mass (we will provide masks) as well as the reception, when not eating or drinking. 2) Guests will have assigned seats at the church and will be escorted to your row by an usher. Ushers will also dismiss guests by row following the ceremony. We appreciate your patience as you enter and exit the church.
During the cocktail hour and reception, guests are asked to sit at a table, preferably your assigned table, although we have arranged for extra spaces at most tables to allow for some mingling. All food and beverages will be served table side and we have arranged for additional servers to ensure no one is parched! Dancing! Unfortunately we cannot have a traditional dance floor, but we can have "dance pods". Who doesn't like a good dance circle, right?? ! Guests will be able to dance near their tables with table mates and/or friends and family from nearby tables. Max & I have taken the liberty of declaring ourselves honorary members of each of your families and "quaranteams". We cannot wait to dance the night away with all of you!
We don't think so! The airport is about a 20 minute uber to the hotel and downtown Kansas City. On the day of the wedding, we will provide a shuttle from the hotel to the wedding mass for guests. Please make sure to indicate if you will be taking advantage of the shuttle on the RSVP page. Beyond that, the wedding reception is directly across the street from the Hilton President and a block away from the Residence Inn. The hotels are also centrally located near Kansas City's main attractions. Either a short walk or a short uber away.
If you are driving on Friday instead of using the wedding shuttle: Street Parking – There is metered parking off Baltimore Ave. and Wyandotte St. Consider downloading the ParkMobile app prior to coming downtown. This app allows you to pay for your parking with a credit card. Surface Lot Parking – There are numerous paid lots in the area: – 14th Street and Baltimore (across the street from "The Drum Room" - which is attached to the Hilton - have your license plate number handy). – 14th Street and Wyandotte (behind the Grand Hall) - can reserve a spot with ParkMobile app. – 16th Street and Baltimore (across the street from the Sporting KC building) Garage Parking – There is also paid garage parking. – Cosentino's Parking Garage – Entrance off Main in between 13th and 14th Street (fun fact: If you buy something from Cosentino's, they will validate your parking pass making it free!) If you would like to park overnight at the hotel, it is $24/night
We're glad you asked! There is much to love and discover about Kansas City. Did you know it has more working fountains than any city in the world? Did you know it's the birthplace of Mickey Mouse and the Happy Meal?? Did you know we have THE National World War I Memorial steps from your hotel?? Take a look at the "Things to do" tab for some suggestions of places and areas to spend your extra time. Also, if you are looking for a place to grab dinner on Thursday night, we recommend the County Club Plaza (google it and a link to all the restaurants should come up. We're fans of Jackstack BBQ, Rye KC, Classic Cup and Graham & Dun. We will be at Rye KC on the Plaza for the Rehearsal Dinner and would love for anyone who can to stop by, say "hi" and pick-up a welcome bag.
