Question

Is there anything special I should bring?

Answer

Yes! We collect smashed pennies and we love the idea of each of our guests bringing one (or MORE!) from where they are from. (It will be a special sort of guest book for us!)

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Wedding cocktail attire. Wear what makes you feel fabulous! Don't break the bank. Cocktail dresses, suit and tie, whatever makes you feel glamorous. But also keep in mind it's August in Central California :)

Question

What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5pm. We’ve asked our guests to arrive at 4:30pm to be in place with plenty of time to spare! The bar will be open for purchases by guests during this time. We ask that guests do not arrive after 4:50pm and they will have to delay their arrival until post-ceremony, if they are running late. The ceremony will take place at the end of a one-way bridge and your late arrival will be impeded by us being in the middle of getting hitched! Thank you!! High stakes we know but it will be cool, we promise!

Question

This will be an unplugged ceremony

Answer

For us, this means that we’re asking our guests to not take photos or videos during the ceremony and leave it to our very talented photographers, we will have two! And one friend on video :)

Question

Please be respectful of everyone’s pronouns

Answer

One helpful tip we’ve seen is: when you introduce yourself to someone, provide your pronouns to them, which is an open invitation for the other person to provide you with their pronouns as well. It is always best to not assume so everyone feels seen and respected.

Question

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, there is a slight decline to the venue once you cross the railroad tie bridge, but otherwise everything is on one level.

Question

Where do we park?

Answer

There is free parking throughout Tin City (the name of the area where our venue is located). You can park along the street if it’s available and there is overflow parking nearby at Field Recordings.

Question

What is the COVID policy?

Answer

We are encouraging everyone to be vaccinated and boosted. Masks are not required but please be respectful of others’ space. It’s always best to ask for consent before diving in for a hug so everyone’s boundaries and limits are respected. As much as we want to start our marriage with you present, we want you and our other guests to stay safe more! Please monitor your health and if you are not feeling well, we invite you to celebrate us from afar.

Question

What is the bar situation?

Answer

There will be beer, cider, cider slushies, and wine available. Every guest will get 2 drink tokens for beer or cider pours. (Tokens will not cover flights but those can be purchased separately.) Wine will be available until we run out, as the bottles were pre-purchased. After tokens, you’re welcome to start a tab. There will also be a selection of non-alcoholic drinks. Due to permitting, we will not have hard alcohol.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please add any allergies or dietary restrictions to your RSVP.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation includes your guest's name, then yes. If not, we are counting on only your attendance.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids, but to keep the guest list manageable, only kids of our immediate family are invited. Please plan to have a babysitter at home for the kiddos.
