As we all know 2020 was the 1st year of COVID.  Traditions were put on hold and normal travel plans were paused.  Including the Hailey family tradition of traveling to Costa Rica for Christmas and returning after New Years, often joined by extended family.  For Christmas 2020, that trip didn't happen - and created the opportunity for us to meet through the dating app Hinge on January 2nd, 2021.  We agreed to meet down at dog beach in Ocean Beach for a first date, both bringing our dogs- Finn and Railay.  The date started with both humans and dogs getting to know each other as they walked down the beach (and Jesse pretending not to be preoccupied by Finn's beach antics).  As the date went on, it was obvious to Jesse that Cassie was down to earth, intelligent, and adventurous.  We talked about our newly acquired puppies, extensive travel pre-covid, snowboarding, and how they were surviving the pandemic.  We agreed to a second date when the beach walk was over.  As more time was spent together, Jesse realized how special Cassie truly was and what she meant to him.  She was thoughtful and kind, she had soo many friends and worked amazingly hard to stay in touch and see them. Cassie also noticed how caring, and loyal Jesse was to his family, patient with Finn, and his friends were truly lifelong bonds. It was obvious to both of us we had found something exceptional and we started seeing each other multiple times per week. As the time has passed, we have created a home together and unconditional devotion that grows more and more every day.  We love to spend time doing all the fun and even simple things together whether it's traveling for a snowboard trip, learning to sail, walking the dog, or working in the yard. Any time spent with together is special to us, and we couldn't be more excited for what the next chapter holds!
