We are asking guests to attend in Black Tie attire for our wedding ceremony and reception. Guests commonly choose floor-length dresses or gowns, and elegant suits or tuxedos. If these are not in your budget, please consider renting your attire. We recommend Rent The Runway (https://www.renttherunway.com/), Men's Warehouse (https://tuxedo.menswearhouse.com/), or other retailers.
The Hotel Block for the "Cassidy Wedding" is reserved at The Residence Inn by Marriott, Washingtonian Center at: 9721 Washingtonian Blvd. Gaithersburg MD 20878. Please see our Travel tab above for more information. We also do not want to limit you so if you feel more comfortable booking another hotel, an Airbnb, or staying with a friend, please feel free. We are excited to see you at our wedding no matter where you stay!
Out of respect for the place of worship and us, we are asking guests to be fully present during the wedding ceremony at Our Lady of Mercy Church. This will be "unplugged", and we kindly ask that you silence and/or turn off your devices during the ceremony. There will be a photographer present during the ceremony who will take pictures of important moments, and we are excited to share those with you all once released. For the reception at Silo Falls, we would also prefer that you remain present with us and ignore your devices as much as possible, although, we understand here if you would like to take selfies with us and post on your stories!
Yes. There are parking lots located in front of both venues. We ask that if you are planning on drinking alcohol at the reception that you take an Uber, Lyft, or carpool with a designated driver to return home/to the hotel at night.
Silo Falls is proud to present their seasonal menu designed around local food trends around Maryland and the East Coast. There will be meat, seafood, and vegetarian friendly dishes served. We ask that you contact us in advance about any other dietary restrictions (gluten-free, vegan, allergies, etc.) so we can let the event manager know at Silo Falls in advance.
The best way to get around Washington DC is the DC Metro (subway/underground). You can find a metro map of all the different lines when you first enter the metro station and online. You will be required to purchase a SmartTrip Card, which you can buy in any kiosk in any Metro station. You can also use the SmartTrip card on the MetroBus and RideOn Bus. We also recommend Uber/Lyft to the city, as parking can be difficult to find and can be pricey. For fun, we also recommend the Bird/Spin/Lime electric scooters to get around the DC area in style!
