Thingvellir National Park
The site of Iceland's parliament from the 10th to 18th centuries. Here, we can see the Þingvellir Church and the ruins of old stone shelters. The park sits in a rift valley caused by the separation of 2 tectonic plates, with rocky cliffs and fissures like the huge Almannagjá fault.
Blue Lagoon
Located in a sprawling 800 year old lava field in the heart of the Reykjanes Peninsula. Enjoy a refreshing drink from the swim bar, and try a facial scrub from the spa station.

Vatnajökull National Park
It translates to "water glacier", at 2,500 years old, it is the largest one in Europe. the films Interstellar and Batman Begins were shot at Svínafellsjökull glacier, inside this national park.
Jökulsárlón
A glacial lagoon, bordering Vatnajökull National Park. Nearby is the "Diamond Beach" which earned its name for the ice chunks scattered on it that resembles the sparkling gem. The James Bond films Die Another Day and A View to a Kill, and Tomb Raider were filmed at this location.
Solheimasandur Plane Wreck
A US Navy Douglas R4D-8, a Super DC-3 crashed here in 1973, all of the crew survived.
