Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love and adore your little ones, we kindly ask that only children who are able to remain seated quietly and comfortably throughout the entire ceremony be in attendance. If this may be challenging or you have any concerns about this, we completely understand and encourage you to enjoy a kid-free evening celebrating with us by making alternate arrangements.

Can I bring a date?

We did our very best to include all significant others in our guest count. If your relationship status has changed or you’re hoping to bring a different guest, we kindly ask that you reach out to us before RSVPing. We want to ensure we can comfortably accommodate everyone and that all of our guests are able to fully enjoy the celebration.

What should I wear?

Answer

We recommend casual to semi-formal attire—think dressy, yet comfortable for an outdoor garden setting. Our ceremony and reception will both take place outdoors in a backyard setting, and August in Washington is typically warm and sunny. We encourage you to dress for the weather and bring anything you may need to stay comfortable throughout the evening. Please also keep in mind that most of the event will take place on grass, so plan footwear accordingly.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! Parking will be available on the front lawn, with the ceremony taking place in the backyard. There will be signs and/or attendants to help guide you when you arrive. While there is a good amount of space, we kindly encourage guests to carpool whenever possible to help maximize space and ensure we can comfortably accommodate everyone.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Guests are welcome to begin arriving around 4:30 PM, when the coffee truck and music will already be setting the vibe for the evening. We recommend arriving no later than 20–30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time for parking and seating. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30 PM, and we kindly ask that all guests are seated by 5:15 PM at the very latest.

Is there assigned seating?

Answer

Seating will be open for the reception, so please feel free to sit wherever you’re most comfortable. We will have reserved seating for family members and the wedding party. For our remaining guests, we kindly ask that you fill in tables from the front to the back to help everything run smoothly and ensure everyone has a seat.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Feel free to take photos, but we kindly ask that you are mindful and avoid blocking our photographer.

Yes! Restroom facilities will be available on-site for guest use throughout the event.
