We had been part of the same AA community for years, often sitting in the same rooms and sharing the same spaces, yet somehow never truly noticing each other. Then one random Saturday changed everything. After a long day that had already been full of emotions and time spent with friends, we ended up at our home group meeting that evening. When the meeting wrapped up, a few of us decided to keep the night going with a trip to Topgolf. Somewhere between the laughs and friendly competition, something quietly sparked between us. The following Saturday, our paths crossed again at a different meeting. What began as simple conversations quickly turned into hours-long phone calls and a connection that kept growing stronger week by week. On the surface we might seem like opposites. Lawrence is calm, steady, and quietly grounded, while Cassidy is vibrant, expressive, and a bit of a live firecracker. But together we found a balance that neither of us even realized we had been searching for. What started in the rooms of recovery grew into something far greater than we ever expected — a relationship rooted in faith, growth, and genuine love. We cannot wait to be joined together as one flesh in the eyes of our Lord and Savior and to continue building a life together that began with a simple conversation on an ordinary Saturday night.
