Our Story
Jon and Cassidy's story began in 2014 at a Big Apple Bagels restaurant, where Cassidy worked. As a regular, Jon had breakfast there every morning. Over time, their friendly exchanges became a small daily bright spot.
In 2016, Jon asked if Cassidy would like to spend an evening kayaking with him. Since she was buried in summer classes, she turned him down—for months— until one “yes” changed everything.
Their first date felt instantly comfortable, like something perfect falling into place. Later that summer, on 8/6/2016, Jon asked Cassidy if she would be his girlfriend, and “86” became a quiet symbol of their happy beginning. They conquered long-distance dating while Cassidy finished college. In 2019 they moved in together, and in 2023 they found their dream farm.
In December 2024, Jon proposed in Cassidy's riding arena—the spot that will soon hold their wedding reception—and they turned their attention to forever.
Their wedding will be held on their 10 year anniversary together.
