We request our guests to dress in “Dressy Casual” attire, meaning somewhere between formal and casual, comfortable but elevated. We encourage our guests to wear florals as well as our wedding colors, shades of purple and green. Our ceremony and parts of our reception will be outside, so we would also suggest wearing comfortable shoes and a bringing a light jacket in case it gets chilly.
Nope! Although we recommend it, we realize that it may not be practical for everyone. Since all of our guests are traveling at least some distance, we wanted to give our guests as many options for lodging as possible, which is why we have also gotten a hotel block.
In the RSVP form, we are asking guests what their plans are for lodging. If you’re interested in staying in a treehouse, please indicate that in the form. You can visit the “Travel” tab of our website for more details.
In lieu of gifts, we are requesting our guests to put your money towards the cost of lodging and travel for the wedding. If you still feel you’d like to gift us something, you can gift cash, gift cards, or contribute to our Honeymoon Fund under the “Registry” tab. We also love homemade gifts and cards!
Being completely honest, a weekday wedding was much more affordable and fit better into our budget. For a Tuesday wedding, the venue was also able to guarantee lodging for both the night of the wedding and the night before, which is something we wanted. We are hoping the date is set far in advance that our guests will be able to make arrangements to attend.
