Blaze and Cassidy are high school sweethearts who met through mutual friends and marching band. They became friends in 2016 and started dating in 2018. After high school, they were long distance for three and a half years while they went to different colleges. Blaze graduated college in December of 2022, and they moved in together in 2023 while Cassidy finished her last year of her undergraduate degree. After she graduated in May of 2024, they moved to Columbus so Cassidy could pursue her Master’s degree. Blaze proposed at the end of that year. Cassidy will be graduating in May of this year, and Blaze and Cassidy will likely be moving to a new area. They are excited to find out where they’ll be headed to next.

House Or Rental
“A rare combination of unrestrained natural beauty and curated luxury come together at "The Grand Barn" at The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue. Located on seventy-five wooded acres near Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio, this property provides an elegant and captivating outdoor experience. Wedding guests are encouraged to stay in our memorable treehouses, rustic cabins and country homes during events!” You heard that right: the venue has TREEHOUSES! If you are interested in staying in a treehouse, cabin, or country home at the venue, please click the "View" button below for more information and to fill out our form. Once the form is filled out, we will get back to you with details on how to book. These will be reserved for our wedding until July 13th, three months before the wedding. After that, you may still book with the venue, but availability will not be guaranteed. Spots are limited, so please let us know as soon as possible! Check-in: 2:00 PM / Check-out: 10:00 AM
Hotel
As an alternative lodging option, we have reserved a hotel block about 30 minutes from the venue. The rate is $169/night. We have rooms with one King bed or two Queen beds. Please click the link below to book. Rooms will be held until September 12th, one month before the wedding. Check-in: 3:00 PM / Check-out: 11:00 AM
Travel Note
Because the venue is on a beautiful, private acreage, from some, it can be a bit of a challenge to find. Please refer to the linked directions provided by the venue to assist you. Also, “Cell service in the area can also be limited with many spots having no service at all. We recommend downloading the directions BEFORE heading to the venue, and if you choose to use your GPS, you will need to start your route prior to arriving in the immediate area.” Additionally, the last 5-10 minutes of the drive to the venue is slightly uphill on a gravel road. If possible, we recommend taking a vehicle that has 4-wheel drive or can otherwise handle these road conditions, such as an SUV or Truck.
Travel Note
This page offers a variety of discounted rates for hotels and lodging options near the venue. Feel free to look here if the venue lodging or the Millersburg hotel block do not work for you. These prices are not set prices and are subject to change over time.
We kindly request semi-formal attire for our wedding: dressy but relaxed. Think suits (not tuxes), dress pants with a button shirt and jackets (optional), knee-length/midi-length dresses with light fabrics, or polished separates (vests, jumpsuits, etc). We encourage our guests to wear our wedding colors, which include shades of purple and green, and incorporate nature elements, such as florals or greenery, if you'd like. Feel free to lean into color, whimsy, and fun! We love your personalities and would love to see them shine through in your outfits. Since our ceremony and parts of the reception will be outdoors, we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and bringing a light jacket or shawl to ensure your comfort throughout the evening.
Treehouses, cabins, and country homes are available on the venue’s property for our guests. To ensure we can best accommodate everyone interested, if you want to stay on property, please complete our Interest Form located in the "Travel" section of our website. Simply click the "View" button under “Venue Details” to access the form. Please submit the form by June 1st to help us coordinate lodging arrangements. Once you’ve submitted the form, Cassidy will reach out to you with more information. After July 13th, room availability will revert to the venue's standard booking process and the rooms will no longer be blocked off for our wedding guests, so we encourage you to reserve your spot early.
No, you do not have to stay at the venue. While we encourage guests to do so for ease and the experience, we understand that it may not be feasible or necessary for everyone. We have included other lodging options in the “Travel” section of our website for those that need it.
We request that you only bring guests who are specifically named on your personal invitation. We are not able to accommodate additional plus-ones beyond those formally invited.
You will be able to easily RSVP through this website when invitations are sent out. We'll provide all the details you'll need to confirm your attendance and share any dietary or accommodation preferences.
You don't need to! Your presence is truly the greatest gift. Instead of traditional gifts, we're encouraging guests put that money towards their travel and lodging expenses for our wedding, (we would love to see you stay on property in a treehouse), but we understand if you'd like to contribute. If you would prefer to give a gift, we welcome cash, gift cards, or contributions to our Honeymoon Fund, which you can find under the "Registry" tab. Our dream is to visit Disney World for our honeymoon, and we'd be grateful for any support in making that magical adventure a reality.
We chose a Tuesday wedding to maximize our budget and secure lodging on property. Our selected venue offered guaranteed lodging both the night of our wedding and the evening before, which was an important priority for us. By announcing our date well in advance, we hope our loved ones will be able to plan accordingly and join us in celebrating our special day. We greatly appreciate any and all sacrifices you'll be making to be in attendance.
