Everyone who knows us knows we love singing and music. So naturally, we met in Vocal Jazz at our high school. At the time, Alex was a sophomore and Cassidey was a senior. We immediately clicked as friends and even sang a duet together at the USO Show in 2017 (After Cassidey immediately asked Alex to please be her duet partner). We stayed friends throughout the years, but went our separate ways after Cassidey graduated. We kept in touch over the years, but were very fortunate to have ended back in Waterford at the same time (we didn't think we were very fortunate at the time). Cassidey was looking for a job close to home to start her life up again. Alex had told her that his job, The Waterfront on Brown's Lake was hiring bartenders and servers. Cassidey took him up on this offer and got the job. Alex and Cassidey had spent the summer working together and hanging out. After Cassidey invited Alex over for a bonfire and they stayed up talking til 5 in the morning, they knew they were going to be best friends. Many lessons (for Cassidey) and 8 months of being best friends, Cassidey had written a letter to Alex. The letter expressed how much she adored him and at the end, asked him to be her boyfriend. Alex said yes and then a year and a half later, Alex asked Cassidey to be his wife, and she said yes. This is only our story so far, and we are just beginning!
