Cassandra and Austin first met at a Thanksgiving potluck hosted by the Asian American Student Union at the University of Kansas in 2018. The pair were quickly acquainted and bonded over their mutual interests in healthcare. Afterward, the two lost touch as they worked towards their career aspirations. However, life has a funny way of working its magic and the pair eventually rekindled their friendship in 2020 after discovering they had been admitted to the same nursing program to pursue their BSN. Through carpooling to nursing school and late nights “studying” (playing League of Legends lol) for exams- the two grew closer moving from friends to the best of friends 🥹. A few of Cassandra and Austin’s favorite moments together include: stuffing their faces with barbacoa tacos whilst watching abandoned home renovation or Costco finds vids, taking spontaneous trips, and swapping lame bad dad jokes.
